    They need Correa so bad. I also think Jansen could be a fit for them. I don't think they can rely on Joey Bart and his projected 1 WAR being the everyday Catcher. They love their platoons and Jansen hits well enough to DH against lefties when they sit Pederson so Bart can get more playing time than your average backup C anyway. I think Cobb and Yaz would be great fits for us. Cobb slots into the rotation as high as #3. Yaz grades out as an above average fielder by almost every metric and he's a high launch angle guy so getting him out of San Fran could help him a lot. He's hit 25 and 17 homers the past two years but his projected homers jump to 29 and 20 if he were to play in TO. Cobb has 2 years of control left and Yaz has 3. On paper it seems like we would probably have to add a little bit but MLB Trade Values sees it differently. I think they undervalue Cobb a lot.

    "If"? Why don't we just look at what they've done on the field and you'll see a guy who is actually THRICE the player. And it ain't Bellinger pal. In the past 3 seasons, Kiermaier has been worth 5.1 WAR in 234 games. Bellinger has been worth 2.1 WAR in 295 games. So on a per game basis, going all the way back to the beginning of this DECADE, Kevin Kiermaier has been worth 3x the amount of WAR.

    I know but Sean Murphy is probably the 4th best Catcher in baseball (behind Kirk, Moreno and Jansen in that order) and the A's didn't even get a single Top 100 prospect. And Murphy has 3 years of control left too. Garbage franchise.

    The mods actually personally reached out to me and asked if I'd give him The Sheriff treatment. After discussing it we decided that the ban was the lighter form of punishment.

    They had 39 guys on the 40 man and then made a couple of signings. They could be waiting to make the moves official as because maybe they have a trade in the works?

    Ross has done a great job in an insane market. The Jays had to do something but he was patient and got some good players on shorter term deals. He must literally be laughing out loud that Tajiuan Walker and his projected 1.5 WAR got 4 years 71 mil when he got Bassit for 3/63.

    Yeah before the offseason I thought he would get 3 for 60 or maybe even 4 years like Ryu. But after seeing some of these insane free agent deals I thought he might get 5 years. This is a very 2021-like contract.

    Leave it to the A's to pull off a bizzare three team trade with an underwhelming return. Looks like the Brewers did pretty well here though?

    Contreras to the Brewers is a good outcome for the Jays too. They don't have a whole lot that they could trade to us.
