  1. Buffalo has a shitload of "guys" this year. Legit Prospects Orelvis Martinez Addison Barger Davis Schneider Fringe Prospects Spencer Horwitz Otto Lopez Mildly Interesting Vet Ernie Clement Potential Defensive Specialists Luis De Los Santos Cam Eden (38 for 40 on SBA) Whatever This Guy Is Rafael Lantigua This would be a dream scenario for a small market contender. For us it will still come in handy with 3B, 2B and the bench spots wide open next year. Though I suspect we will see some trades with some of the guys on this list.
  2. I think the most realistic scenario for him is he contributes nothing this year and is a #4 SP next year. That's not worth much in a 20 teamer. But the outcomes for him are pretty wild. He could be a #2 again or he could be out of the league. It would depend on the keeper/roster rules exactly, but I'd move him for a 1st. 2nd would make me think. Anything less than that and I'd rather keep him around to see if he rebounds next year.
  3. Bringing back Manoah early hasn't really bit us yet. We got one good start and one clunker. But it's obvious that the clunkers are going to continue. He was terrible last night. Yeah he got squeezed a couple of times but that's going to happen when you have zero command. Needs to be getting some K's via whiffs not begging umpires to make the call. If they want to give him one more start to make double sure that he still sucks that's fine but he needs to be replaced by Ryu after that who should be ready and the team should consider a trade on top of it.
  4. Look at Addison Barger's exit velos from tonight's game. In all 6 ABs he put a ball into play at 100 mph or greater. He's back.
  5. It's because you guys are all over Craig Biggio Jr.'s nuts still so there's no point in calling him up only to watch him sit in favor of the golden boy. Once we finally kick that nepo baby to the curb then we'll have room to actually try some of these prospects out.
  6. Ernie Clement is having a crazy year at Buffalo. He's slashing .344/.421/.535 and has only 6 Ks in 181 plate appearances. His underlying numbers don't look bad either. BABIP is only .309 entering tonight and his ISO is near .190. The only problem with him is that this is his last year with an option so next year he either needs to be on the team or he's gone. But he could possibly be a bench guy.
  7. Pretty much all of Buffalo went off tonight. Ernie Clement and Horwitz both had 5-hit games. Barger had 2 hits. Orelvis with a homer in his first AAA game.
  8. Lol the team has been hot, we drop one game and the tired cliches come out.
  9. Why ship KK out? All we need is a platoon bat who can play some LF and DH to pair with him. Should be easy to acquire at the deadline.
  10. Screw Stroman, bring me Ohtani. Trade them Tiedemann, Kirk, Orelvis Martinez and Mitch White for Ohtani. Then in the offseason make Ohtani a fat offer. He'll most certainly walk but who cares we can say we tried and we got to watch the best player of all-time don a Jays jersey during a playoff run.
  11. Yeah he risks getting hit around some but there's no way he's worse than Manoah.
  12. Chug a beer and get the crowd fired up for the bottom half of the inning. The Padres suck we can beat them still.
  13. Come on ump. That was easily a strike.
  14. Yeah Cashman is on the hot seat too. I just personally can't stand Boone. He's a huge *******.
  15. It'll be perfect. Bellinger desperately pulling his soft looping flyballs just short of the porch while the team finishes .500 and Boone gets canned.
  16. Hoping the Yankees trade for him.
  17. This is going to be awkward when we trade him in a package for Max Scherzer at the deadline.
  18. What the heck are you guys talking about?
  19. Yeah I think Wrigley is really helping him. He's got a Gallo-like launch angle with putrid EVs and Wrigley is pumping up his homers anyway. He's got 12 but everywhere else in baseball he's got lower, even at Yankee stadium his xHR is 10
  20. I think your points about the injuries could be a factor and are a good point but it's hard to tell. He had a hot April, seemed to struggle surrounding an IL stint and is now hot again. How much the injury played a factor I'm not sure.
  21. Mr. Wait for His Pitch has a career low barrel rate too.
  22. The data suggests that you pulled this entire post out of your ass. His MAX EV is just .8 mph better than it was during the last two years when he was hitting like John McDonald. Career exit velo is the worst of his career by far. And if he's being more selective why is his walk rate lower?
  23. Yeah the K-Rate improvement makes him a serviceable starting player again but his xWOBA is .312.
  24. Was he projected to be a good fielder at 3B?
