  1. That last component out of the three is the most important.....I don't think gose will ever be a good hitter. I wasn't sure about Rasmus, but his at bats have been so much better lately. He is being more selective and taking the odd walk.
  2. Melky shouldn't be playing against lefties right now...they should be playing rajai and letting melky rest...part of his struggles are likely related to his health...
  3. lindy just seems dangerous when he gets up there now...
  4. Utely's a free agent at the end of the year...if the jays were in it the playoff hunt and the phillies were out of it....there's worse places than toronto to spend a few months...
  5. I thought Kendrick...but he's having a career year and he still has a couple not so cheap years on his contract.....what about Utley as a rental..assuming he's healthy when the deadline hits..lol.
  6. boni and izzy started playing a lot better since Reyes started his rehab..lol
  7. there's always hope....it's nice to have the odd reminder from time to time..
  8. 25 at bats....Lind could go 0 for 15 against lefties bringing it up to 40 at bats, which is a bit more material...and he would still be hitting .300. Lind is simply a different hitter.
  9. I don't know how he doesn't get selected..and the last few years they have the last chance vote...who's going to be more deserving?
  10. Lind will definitely get a record for sure....best statistical player ever to get the fewest fan votes of all time....9 fan votes...all from me...and an OPS bouncing up against 1.000....lol
  11. and Lind is hitting left handers better than right handers...small sample size...but how did that happen
  12. I said in the offseason Lind would post an OPS above .800....but I would have never guessed that Cecil is having the success he is.....
  13. wow that was worse than the happ one...and the happ one was the worst I ever saw..
  14. I actually thought the 80 mile an hour knuckler with good movement was a good sign...that was not a hittable pitch at all....
  15. rasmus is a streaky guy, but I think he's being more selective as well...I think his approach is really improving for real....he mentioned in an interview a week or so ago that he had talked a lot to Lind about hitting and he was just trying to be more selective in his approach...
  16. completely unselfish at bat...takes the walk...EE delivers
  17. I'm sure I read on here several expert knowledgeable posters say he was terrible....I'd rather be lucky than good i gues..lol.
  18. looks like lindy is finally winning over the fans again..lol
  19. This team was 4th in runs scored per game in May. This was without Reyes....I wouldn't call that a not very good team. The Bullpen has been very good all year. Starting pitching...Buehrle has looked good the last 5 starts...Dickey who has battle injuries...looked amazing last start.....Johnson looked very good allowing only one earned run last start....those three horses have to carry you. When I see Dickey, Johnson and Buehrle...I don't think not very good....Rogers has pitched well lately and Morrow has great stuff...if he comes back healthy and gets on a roll you have 4 starting pitchers with good stuff...they don't have the luxury to have things not go their way...but if things click...I think you are being very harsh in your assesment..the talent level is still pretty good on this team.....Johnson's start tomorrow will be very telling...
