  1. Schilling is an ******* and a wing nut. I don't hate conservatives. I often vote conservative. I most certainly will vote conservative in the next federal election. I find it funny that die hard party people who identify left or right and will agree with anything anyone of the left will say if they lean left or agree with anything anyone on the right will say if they lean right. I've wrote scathing things about Jenny Durkan too. I've been critical of both Donald Trump and Joe Biden. I think they are both terrible candidates.
  2. The players had to agree to health and safety protocols related to safety. That was what caused the delay between the season being implemented by the owners and agreed to by the players. I'm guessing those agreements are ironclad. They will pay high risk individuals their full salary and those players do not have to play.
  3. He would be in already if he wasn't an *******. Clemens isn't in, so I'm fine with Schilling not being in too.
  4. Schilling is one of your favourite guys on twitter? That explains a lot..lol.
  5. I wasn't aware as a Canadian you can fly to the US and there isn't a mandatory quarantine period once you get there. There are only recommendations. I guess the Jays could play in Toronto if the government waived the mandatory quarantine period for people entering Canada. I highly doubt the government here will allow it.
  6. wasn't aware of that, but it wouldn't surprise me. Bauer is a different duck.
  7. The players rejected expanded playoffs and an extra 57 mil because they were worried the owners would have get almost triple that amount from TV revenues. Somewhere a wise man is thinking, you mean the owners would have more money to pay free agents next year? The players were just lead by a bunch of old stubborn pricks who already had their big free agent contracts. Bauer, Stro, Odorizzi, Paxton, betts and all the rest of the pending free agents must be a little bit pissed at this decision. Min salary guys could have potentially more than doubled their earnings if they made the playoffs. I'm sure they aren't happy either.
  8. so he sits on the taxi squad for a 7 days and starts game 8!
  9. Can we get Austin Martin signed so we can add him to the satellite team?
  10. August 31st trade deadline. If we're 5 games over .500 at that point, I say we go all in!
  11. Top 2 teams in each division and 4 wild cards? When is the trade deadline? So many questions.
  12. Can the Jays make the playoffs? Short sprint. Teoscar and Grichuk are both streaky hitters. What if they get off to a hot start? What if Pearson is the rookie of the year? I'm dreaming already! Baseball must be back.
  13. It's going to be hard finding a reason to start him at AAA next year when he lights it up this year, but I'm sure they could find a way...lol. I'd prefer they just sign him to 7 years right now, but that's unlikely to happen.
  14. It's been so long since I've even thought about baseball. I looked at the 40 man for the first time in forever. No Nate Pearson on the 40. Practically forgot we even had Shoemaker. Felt pretty good about that. The infield...dynamite....and then the outfield..ugggh...oh yeah..forgot about that too. Can't wait for the schedule to come out.
  15. I'm not sure how the whole service time works this year. Nate needs as many innings for his development purposes and protection of his arm for next year. Looking forward to seeing him.
  16. I'm all for expanded playoffs. 22 years without playoffs wasn't fun imo and we're still i a division with the yankees and red sox, but whatever...let's get things going and start discussing baseball instead of owners and players fighting over money.
  17. They took less money and now will spend more money on legal fees for a grievance they have no shot of winning. I think it's time to replace the executive members not named Daniel Murphy. Who really cares....let's take the Jays to Buffalo and get this party started!
  18. Jeff Passan @JeffPassan Based on conversations with a number of players, there is a strong expectation the MLBPA will vote yes on MLB's proposed July 1 report date, codify the health-and-safety protocol (with some slight tweaks) and lock in a 60-game season that begins around July 24, sources tell ESPN.
  19. Of course the players are going to say no we're not going report because it's too dangerous because of Covid. A week ago they said the owners were using Covid as an excuse and they were ready to play. It's a s*** show. The players are greedy bastards. They are going to file a grievance. Then the MLB will say they didn't hold up their end of the March bargain and try and take service time back and fight will really be on.
  20. Baseball is back July 1 report dates 60 game schedule implemented by MLB.
  21. Come on Liverpool haven't won the title in 30 years. The fans deserve it!
  22. Well, he doesn't have to deal with Tony Clark so he has that going for him.
  23. Just curious. How do you get food delivered to the bunker you're living in, or did you have a year supply of food in place to prepare a covid like world. Don't you miss the sun?
