  1. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/columnist/bob-nightengale/2020/09/03/independent-league-sugarland-skeeters-filled-void-saved-baseball-careers/5706506002/ After seeing that article I went to check in on how Kloffenstein was doing. He's had some control issues. 4.64 ERA in 9 games and 5 starts. 21.1 innings pitched with 20 strikouts and 12 walks. http://www.dakstats.com/WebSync/Pages/Team/IndividualStats.aspx?association=78&sg=MBA&sea=BAIMBA_2020&team=21357 Also lots of familiar names in this new mini-league. Dalton Pompey is there. As is Kacy Clemens, who I think is no longer in the Blue Jays organization. The article I posted above mentions Cullen Large but I didn't see any stats for him on any of the 4 team stat pages.
  2. Brings back memories of Jason Frasor https://www.fangraphs.com/players/jason-frasor/1906/stats?position=P#pitch-info-plate-discipline
  3. There are no Pace numbers for pitchers on Fangraphs for 2020 for some reason. I wanted to see just how slow Dolis has been relative to the league. Edit: For whatever it's worth, here's the leaderboard for Pace last season. Dolis had a 26.8 way back in 2013. The last season he was in the major leagues. I can't imagine he has sped up any since then.
  4. He was way better in Milwaukee than Boston. But either way he's been garbage lately.
  5. According to this tool using the 1989-2002 option: 6.129 for the best lineup 5.991 for the lineup from Game 6 of the WS
  6. The Brewers tie it up at 5 in the bottom of the 5th against the Tigers.
  7. Going by Fangraphs again they predict a .469 RoS win % for Toronto and a .419 win % for Detroit.
  8. Fangraphs has Toronto and Detroit both at a .508 remaining strength of schedule. It pretty darn close to a wash.
  9. Yep. 10 strikeouts to 2 walks. The Marlins have only hit 4 flyballs but have 2 homeruns.
  10. It's time for El Capitán
  11. I don't know if it was mentioned but Miami called up Jazz Chisholm and he is active for this game. Miami's top prospect and #33 overall according to Fangraphs.
  12. A source of your's or just speculation?
  13. #17 on the Fangraphs list Not on the MLB.com list (#43 on Radio Scouts) Sounds like a low minors guy with little info outside of some big league exit velocity. I'm fine with this.
  14. It's crazy that Simeon Woods Richardson is younger than Kendall Williams.
  15. 3 more years of Ross Stripling. It's going to be a prospect of that value. Will Robertson, Yennsy Diaz and Chavez Young have only marginal value.
  16. It will definitely be Espinal optioned and Panik stays on the roster.
  17. I will guess Otto Lopez and Kloff. But maybe that's a bit light.
  18. Fun Fact: Teoscar Hernandez is an entire year younger than Julian Merryweather!
  19. That Roark contract for next year ain't looking too good.
  20. Jeff Blair said that is what Dante has been telling Vlad.
  21. Dante Bichette telling Vladdy not to hit the ball in the air? Time to fire Dante!
  22. Am I missing something? Barreto sucks. Good deal for the Athletics imo I guess it's a bunch of years of a player able to play in the middle of the infield but meh
  23. I think the play is to make Charlie a player-manager. You'll be punting a roster spot but with 28 players maybe it's doable. Montoyo can be the designated bunter. In a bunting situation he can sub himself into the game and show these free-swinging kids some fundamentals!
  24. inb4 it's Kloff for Taijuan Walker!
