  1. I think I'll forever be haunted by that game 7. But that's the all-time single season postseason hits record holder. He couldn't have done much more last October.
  2. I notice that Juan Sanchez had his 13th error of the season today. So the defence seems to be a work in progress.
  3. I threw in the cultural adjustment part of my Juan Sanchez post in at the last minute. I intended for the jump from the DSL to A ball as being the most significant adjustment. If ever there was a first 15 games to conveniently ignore, Juan Sanchez's seemed as good as any. Fangraphs still has the 25 year old SF Giants pitching prospect as the player image on the Blue Jays player's page https://www.fangraphs.com/players/juan-sanchez/sa3005444/stats/pitching https://www.fangraphs.com/players/juan-sanchez/sa3067129/stats/batting Justice for Juan!
  4. My source says he's 5'5, 275 pounds of pure baseball talent
  5. The ball that went 400 feet was the lowest exit velocity of the 4 swings that inning.
  6. Austin Martin suddenly has a 108 wRC+. Breakout on pause for now.
  7. Justin Gonzalez did have the scientifically accurate cultural adjustment period. 85 wRC+ in his first 15 games. A 125 from then on out. Gonzalez played his 15th game on May 23 while Sanchez had played that many by May 8. It seems the Red Sox eased him in so the Cultural Adjustment period wouldn't affect his batting line as much. We'll see what Juan Sanchez's numbers look like at the end of the season.
  8. Juan Sanchez first 15 games at Dunedin: .103/.200/.121 9.2BB%, 30.8K%, .017 ISO wRC+ of 0 17 games since (excluding today) .288/.382/.500 9.2BB%, 26.3K%, .212 ISO wRC+ 138 Cherry picking of course. But going straight from the DSL to A-ball, plus the cultural adjustments, deserves some leeway.
  9. Now Orioles Hangout has shooters in the outfield.
  10. I thought Caleb Joseph had a good game as the colour commentator. He's a lot better at speaking on television than he was a few years ago.
  11. After this nightmare season Vlad will see the light. He'll be looking for answers and will go to Aaron Judge's hitting coach and hit 70 bombs next season.
  12. I highly doubt Perry pitches in Toronto this year. But being a high school pick and missing a year with TJS he actually has to be added to the 40-man this off-season to avoid the rule 5 draft. So he'll get a look in spring training next year at the least. And a good chance to be on the SP depth chart.
  13. 18 stolen bases on 19 attempts too
  14. Nolan Perry has struck out 28 of the 55 batters he's faced in A+ ball.
  15. The former ump sounded underwater. The trillion dollar company Apple can't buy him a mic? Maybe he's on a MacBook from 2006
  16. Perry striking out 43% of the batters he's faced this year. Crazy
  17. I noticed this the other day. I found that if you filter the boxscores by affiliate on the MILB site then the FCL won't show up. If you filter the level to rookie ball and select the Florida Complex League and not touch the MLB affiliate section then you can see the boxscores. Johnny King dealing once again tonight. 5 innings, 3 hits, no runs, 1 walk, 8 Ks
  18. He must feel he's best used for 3 outs only so he's more fresh to go the next day. I looked at his outings from last year and he only got more than 3 outs 1 time all season https://www.fangraphs.com/players/tyler-rogers/15541/game-log?position=P&gds=2025-02-01&gde=2025-10-31&season=&type=0 Almost always 1.0 IP
  19. Okamoto is just atrocious. Tough right now to see him becoming an average big leaguer with such poor defence and contact skills.
