  1. Kirk is second in baseball in average exit velocity Too late to win rookie of the year and/or MVP?
  2. Not surprising. His velocity has been down in his last few outings.
  3. It makes you wonder how much structural damage could have been avoided if Giles was immediately removed during that outing in Tampa Bay.
  4. f*** it, as fans we've lived our lives long enough having to deal with being in the AL East. Especially since the Rays became good 12 years ago. Time to embrace coin flips after 162 games. Count me on team #16Teams But it was never going to go back to the way it was anyway. Too much money being left on the table. Especially after losing all stadium revenue this year.
  5. Is Gameday glitching or is Espinal really lobbing in every pitch at 60 mph?
  6. 20? More like 40+
  7. Uncheck the box that says "Retrieve remote file and reference locally"
  8. McKinney to the Brewers means every team in the AL passed on him. Even the Orioles decided not to spend a 40-man spot on him! That's actually a bit surprising to me. There is still a chance he might become a 4th or 5th outfielder.
  9. I'd be surprised. Just comparing this season to last, he's walking more, striking out less, hitting the ball harder and for more power. Seems legit. He's also 6'0" and 220 pounds, so it's not like he's some Santiago Espinal type twink!
  10. That's who the Blue Jays GAVE UP for Solarte lol Still not a big loss I don't think. Olivares probably projects as a Billy McKinney, or a bit lesser.
  11. Brewers win 19-0 and The Braves win 29-2. I wonder what the record is for most runs two teams combined to score in one night. 48 has to be up there.
  12. Yikes that lineup. Off-day tomorrow. Why is Gurriel getting the night off?
  13. So Biggio going to play 1st in the 9th?
  14. Adam Ottavino has a 7.4% swinging strike rate this season. He actually did have a swinging strike against Villar. He threw 29 pitches. If literally one of the close check swings were ruled to be a swinging strike that would have given him a 6.8% swinging strike rate. The average reliever this year has an 11.6 swinging strike %. Ottavino had an 11.2% last year and his career rate is 11.0% Just some weak s*** all around lol. Maybe the Blue Jays did know what was coming but that's a pretty flimsy excuse of his outing. Chad Green had no swinging strikes over his 29 pitches. He has a 14.0% swinging strike rate this season.
  15. The fact that it is debatable whether Teoscar goes on the IL or not sounds like a win in the big picture.
  16. Font is likely getting DFA'd when Giles comes back.
  17. Reese McGuire has been on base ONCE since July 28th.
  18. Watching Vlad is just so disappointing.
  19. I don't think Caleb Joseph is on the 40 man roster. You have to lose a player to send McGuire down.
  20. Dickey's Blue Jays career was pretty good. It just had the specter of Syndergaard hanging over it the whole time.
  21. Roark is super hittable but still a bit unlucky to have given up 2 runs when you've struck out half the batters you've faced.
  22. The xwOBACON boys putting the Blue Jays up 3-0
  23. Fire Charlie and sign Russell Martin as a player-manager. That would maybe be the shrewdest move of all time.
