This is so helpful! Thanks so much. I’ve seen ‘WAR’ a few times and not known what it meant. Now I can see why Biggio gets so much love for his walks. He’s leading our boys by a long way in that department. And they’re saying Kirk is a good at bat in that regard too (in the minors). Given that Grichuk is one of our higher-paid positional players, I can understand now why he might cop some flack. I wonder if his value would have gone up or down based on this year’s form? I must say though, I’ve been super impressed by his fielding and some of those diving catches. The walk off homer he hit during that tense patch of close victories totally won me over.
