  1. He is homer prone. I've probably watched him more than all posters on here combined. Tells you how big of a fanboy I was of him. He is definitely homer prone.
  2. I'd rather see Burnett on a 1 year deal over Ubaldo or Santana at 4 years and same AAV.
  3. I've always been a Capuano fan from his days back with the Brewers. I was even saying a couple of years ago he would have been a bargain signing after his strong comeback with the Mets, and some posters on here were bashing me for saying that. I'm not sure Cap would be the greatest fit in this ballpark, though he can eat innings, is durable, throws strikes and could likely post a 2 WAR. 1 year worth $4-5M would be solid.

    Go Raptors!
  5. OT Fantasy Baseball Trade Question. Would you do this deal? It's a 30 team dynasty salary league. Salaries reflect real life. I get: Jose Bautista Junior Lake Steve Lombardozzi Danny Salazar 2015 3rd & 4th I trade: Andrew Cashner Aaron Sanchez David Carpenter Jon Niese Barreto Gose Osuna What do you think? Adding a big bat like Bautista to my lineup is big, though I even think adding Danny Salazar who could be a stud is definitely worth it. Thanks.
  6. Biggest Jays signings this offseason - signing Halladay and Wells to one day contracts so they could retire in Jays uniforms.
  7. Over Minor? I prefer Latos as well, though Minor has more years on his contract.
  8. OT trade question in my salary league. Would you trade Domonic Brown ($0.5M in 2014; ARB 2015-2017) for Mat Latos ($7.25M 2014, ARB 2015) or Mike Minor (0.5M in 2014; ARB 2015-2017)? Thanks.
  9. I do expect regression from him, definitely. Tough to repeat his 2013 season, though I'm sure AA is just looking at his ERA and his age.
  10. I'm a big fan of Homer Bailey, and I think he'd fit well in the Jays rotation. He pitched in Cincy which is a bandbox and the NL Central is nothing to snub at, so I'm not concerned with him pitching at the Rogers Centre and in the AL East. I do agree that it will be tough for him to post up a WAR close to 4 again next season; though I'm sure AA is desperate for starting pitching and I could see him trading Rasmus (if he can't get him to agree to an extension). I'd prefer to trade Gose + for Bailey; though Cincy is in win-now mode and I'm sure they prefer Rasmus. Also, we all know how AA likes to operate in big trades (acquire multiple pieces to fill multiple holes like in the Marlins deal), so it wouldn't surprise me if AA landed both Bailey and Phillips in the same deal.
  11. I could see a deal with the Reds going down. AA will get Brandon Phillips and Homer Bailey, sending Colby Rasmus and some other pieces to Cincy. Book it.
  12. I think if the Jays are looking to improve the rotation through trade, Colby is likely their best trading chip to land a starter like Homer Bailey. I think AA would be willing to roll with Gose in CF if that meant adding a pitcher like Homer Bailey to the rotation.
  13. Yeah we did. I think I traded you Aaron Sanchez and Joel Hanrahan for Tim Lincecum last year in the FC league lol
  14. Looking to make some more moves. Send me a PM if interested.
  15. I'd say though your pitching staff in the DDL league is better than my pitching staff in the FC league.
  16. CF Jacoby Ellsbury 1B Joey Votto LF Ryan Braun RF Giancarlo Stanton SS Troy Tulowitzki 3B Edwin Encarncion DH Justin Upton C Yadier Molina 2B Ben Zobrist
  17. I'm actually happy with Freeman. I think he can deliver several 30 HR seasons with .900 OPS', and he's only 23 years old. You had an opportunity to land Price for Upton and it's not like I was receiving offers that blew me away for Price from any other teams. The strongest offers I had for him were from you and Andrew throughout the offseason.
  18. If I go down to a Blue Jays game, I definitely look at the pitching match ups, and the pitchers who are pitching to determine the game I go to. For example if I'm looking at going to catch a Jays game when the Mariners in town, I'll for sure look out and see if Felix Hernandez is pitching one of those games. If he is, I'm going down to that one over the other two. Also, when Josh Towers pitched during 2005, I'd try to make it down to everyone of his home starts. Now I went to many other Jays games that season that he wasn't pitching, though since he was my favourite player I tried to make it to every game he pitched. As for watching games on the road, I'll go and watch a game at any ballpark regardless of who is pitching or not pitching. Also, since when travelling, it's tough to schedule out approximately on which pitcher you want to see unless you stay in town the entire week.
  19. Thanks. Someone also offered me Alex Gordon + a low level prospect for Jonothan Niese and Alexi Ogando. After trading Rasmus, I may consider it, though I'm a fan of Niese and his contract.
  20. Ah Liriano does come with question marks; so does Colby. It's not a guarantee Colby goes out and hits the way he did in 2013. I mean in real life, obviously Rasmus is a better player, though in fantasy I consider it a wash. I think getting Kinsler for Norris and Stilson is worth it. It's not a hefty price in terms of prospects and its not like there are many free agent second baseman available, unless I spend big on Robinson Cano which I'm sure will get close to $20 million per season when the FA market opens in our league. Right now my second baseman is Danny Espinosa. Kinsler at $13.4 M isn't bad and isn't franchise crippling per say, so he should always be movable if he produces.
  21. OT Trade Question in a salary dynasty league. Would you do this trade: I receive: Ian Kinsler 14:$13.4M, 15:$13.4M, 16:$13.4M, 17:$13.4M, + Francisco Liriano 14:$8M I trade: Colby Rasmus 14: arb Daniel Norris [prospect] John Stilson [prospect] Rasmus is likely going to get around $7-8 million this season through arbitration so he'll be at the same salary as Liriano. Both only have 1 year left of control anyways, so for me it's a wash. It's tough giving up Norris and Stilson, though Kinsler is locked up for the next 4 years at $13.4 million which isn't absurd for a top second baseman. I think he'll stick at the position in Detroit, and I'm sure if he's healthy he can put up some nice numbers especially hitting in front of Miguel Cabrera and V-Mart. What do you think?

As long as they don't play a team like Miami or Indiana, they could likely squeeze past the first or second round, especially with home court advantage. I can't believe I'm saying this lol. I think Brooklyn is too good of a team to be this bad; the Knicks I could understand. It's fun to see the Raptors play well, though at the same time it's painful because next year's draft class is out of this world.
  23. Boston won the World Series without a legitimate ace/No. 1 starter.
