I'll be at the game on Tuesday night. Likely heading down to Corks before for some food and beer. Send me your number and we'll try and meet before the game for a couple of beers.
  2. Other than his 80 speed, I can't see anything else about his skill set that intrigues me.
  3. Billy Hamilton was the most overrated player coming into this season and as a prospect.
  4. My PS3 is broken right now, and it's not fixable which pisses me off since I've got so many good games on the PS3 still and I can't play any on the PS4. Likely going to buy a new PS3 if they have them on special on Boxing Day or Black Friday or something since I can't justify spending $250 for a new PS3 system right now which is still very expensive considering the system is like 8 years old.
  5. It was $399 at launch. Good thing I picked mine up in November haha
  6. Inside the Trop right now and they have Bedard jersey t-shirts. Going to buy one for Gibbers since he loves Canadian players.

Ticket prices for these games are astronomical to begin with - I just can't see people forking over so much more than face value like $700-$800 for a pair of seats in the lower bowl. I'm sure seats that are $60 face value could easily get $200 for the pair. I wouldn't be shocked though to see prices going down as we get later in the evening/tomorrow morning. Trust me, people will start to get worried and lower their ticket prices on StubHub in order to get rid of them.

Should be awesome! Are you going to any of the games?
  9. In Tampa for the weekend, catching the Rays/Yankees game tonight. Erik Bedard making his first start tonight. Would have liked to seen David Price or Alex Cobb, though Bedard being Canadian is a plus. Wearing my WBC Canada jersey at the Trop tonight.

That's quite ridiculous. Your better off watching the game at a bar or at home rather than spend that much to sit up that high. I know the atmosphere will be amazing, though still. Heck people spending like $400-500 for a pair of seats, you're probably better off spending a bit more and buying a huge LED flat screen TV lol.

Got seats for Game 2 from a teacher I know whose friend has season tickets and wasn't able to go to the first two games. Bought them at face value $178 each, 13 rows from the court. Could have got Game 1 as well, though couldn't find anyone to go with on Saturday. The 12:30 start time sucks though will admit. Wish the game was Saturday night.
  12. Carlos Silva - 71 strikeouts, and only 9 WALKS! in 188.1 innings back in 2005 lol. 0.43 BB/9 is absurd for a pitcher with almost 200 innings!
  13. Loved Brad Radke as well. Great pitcher to watch back in the day! Vastly underrated.
  14. Brad Radke had 34 strikeouts and 1 walk in his first 8 starts during the 2005 season. 60 strikeouts and 4 walks in his first 14 starts that season. Crazy!
  15. Josh Towers had 32 K's and 4 BB's in his first 8 starts during the 2005 season. He was also 23/1 during his first 5 starts. I love pitchers who have great control and throw strikes.
  16. We haven't even finished Week 3 of the season - its still early. Rays don't look in the best of shape, though I'm not writing them off yet. They need Cobb back soon which is a MUST and Hellickson should be returning. I don't see a problem with Odorizzi, Bedard, Karns at the back end. As for their hitting, Myers could go out and have two games like Lawrie just did and everything looks alright. Is this an opening for the Jays? Most definitely. They need to take advantage when AL East teams are banged up and in rough shape.
  17. I think any member on here could blow away the Padres pitching in that ballpark lol.
  18. Oh no, Marcus Walden should have been given a longer opportunity here in Toronto. In two years we'll here how the Jays made a mistake cutting him when he's in Oakland's rotation!
  19. Is this the league CatAss?
  20. +1 What was KC, PIT and especially Atlanta thinking? It's irrational and insane to say that Chavez was going to be an above-average MLB starter back in 2012 when he displayed very little success previously. Heck for majority of his career, he was a reliever. Even Oakland used him as a mop-up guy in 2013. I'm sure Atlanta fans especially are raging now as much as KingCat is. He should join their forum and let out his emotions and feelings there.
  21. Don't take what this team says literally haha.
  22. Gotta heckle Happ at the next home game behind the bullpen.
