  1. He came out of the bullpen to that Coolio song "Gangsta's Paradise" lol not intimidating at all.
  2. Can't forget Kevin Gregg! The best closer in baseball!
  3. Yup, all Hamilton has going for him is hype from his 70 SB seasons in the minors. He won't reach that total in the bigs. Basically probably better picking up Rajai Davis for nothing off waivers or in a trade.
  4. Wow that's a pretty mediocre return for one of the best pitchers in baseball. I think Strasburg could have fetched better talent. Bradley is great, though the rest of the package isn't anything sexy.
  5. Jo Jo Reyes for sure. The Jays gave him 20 starts that season and AA was doing everything in his power to keep him on the roster after spring training I remember because he believed he would have been able to net something in a trade. What a waste.
  6. I liked AJ when he was here. Never had a problem with him.
  7. 4 WAR in 2005 and had the highest IP total that season. Also, he had the stretch of like 14 or 16 straight quality starts I believe. He was huge for the Jays that season especially with Doc getting injured and Lilly sucking. Towers was fun to watch and he had impeccable control. He worked fast, hardly walked anybody and was someone that was easy to root for. Also, he was the only Jays pitcher that had the balls to beam A-Rod. Yes it was with an 88mph fastball but who cares. He actually went out there and stood up for his team, which definitely probably demanded a ton of respect from players in the clubhouse.
  8. I'd say Gustavo Chacin since so many casual fans loved him and thought he was good; when in reality he was extremely lucky and wasn't that talented at all. Other honourable mentions include: Mike Sirotka, Francisco Cordero, Frank Francisco, Bruce Tallet, J.A. Happ, Esmil Rogers.
  9. His cologne line was awful.
  10. Towers was the Jays best pitcher in 2005. He was awful in 2006 yes, though for the money he was making, he provided solid value over the 4-5 years he was here as a back of the rotation starter.
  11. Wil Myers and a SP2 for Harper and MiLB pick

    Gibbers would be pissed.
  14. Guys I think you are all being really tough on JP. He had a tough season last year and everyone of you got on him. He's a great clubhouse guy, has a great personality and has the desire to win. He's still young and has the potential to hit 30 home runs as a catcher, which in my opinion is extremely valuable and makes up for his so/so defense behind the plate. His raw power is out of this world. ---------------------- That was extremely painful to say ^ I want to punch JPA in the face.
  15. I like Jesse Chavez as a reliever, though as a starter I don't see how he'll be effective. Well probably pitching in Oakland, he'll produce decent results and I'm sure he can have a Chad Gaudin type season. If he was a starter in Toronto, he'd be destroyed.
  16. Yes especially in that ballpark.
  17. You just want to punch JPA in the face from all the stuff he says.
  18. Royals signed Brett Tomko to a minor league contract. Damn, where was AA on that one (sarcastic tone).
  19. Espinosa would be a terrific fit. He doesn't have a spot in Washington's lineup and has proven to be a player who could put up 2.5-3 WAR seasons. Plus he shouldn't cost that much in terms of talent. I'm still shocked he hasn't been a target.
  20. I expect Goldy to regress in 2014. Steamer and Zips projections are fairly accurate in my opinion. I'd likely more lean towards Steamer.
  21. I still shake my head after my friend Nick traded Goldy for Kyle Drabek in the FC league lol. One of the worst trades I'd say ever made in the history of fantasy baseball dynasty leagues.
