Just curious, should I be drafting now instead of SpeedyGose? He drafted before me in the first round, and Kevin was right after me - so shouldn't I be picking now? I think the order is wrong.

I'm sure AA picks up the option. He'll say "Happ has a great arm and having a pitcher like Happ around at $6.7M is good value given the market for other starters."

Good thing I traded him in my 30 team dynasty league. I hope he's alright though - I've always liked him.

In the FC league, promoting Shelby Miller and Julio Teheran this season was an amazing feeling. Also promoting Daniel Hudson back in 2010 as well. When you draft your own guy and they make it to the Show, you can't help but cheer. I drafted Miller, Matt Davidson and Daniel Hudson in 2009, and Teheran in 2010.

I love Tazawa. Never wanted to drop him, though I figured there'd be a ton or relievers available rather than starters. It was a debate between him and Hughes for my final spot, and since Hughes signed with the Twins in that pitcher friendly park, I'm willing to bet on a bounce-back since he always has had good K rates and is still just 27.

Yeah able to draft a potential closer at pick 9 is definitely something I won't complain about. I really like Hunter - has great peripherals even if he ends up a setup in Baltimore I won't complain. Still a lot of interesting names available from bats, to bullpen arms. Not much in the SP department however.

Check out my rotation in the salary 30-team dynasty league I'm in: Darvish, Bumgarner, Latos, Bailey, Salazar, Hudson, Peralta, Capuano, Volquez, McDonald, Bedard Signed those last couple of guys to stash in my minors for some depth.

Likely Wacha since he's only 22 and pitches in the NL. Redraft league, tough debate between the both of them though I'd likely lean towards Cobb in 2014.

In dynasty, definitely. In a yearly league, I'd find it tough to rank him in the top 100, though it's plausible. I think he'd fall between 100-125 for sure. Like Dinger said, you likely would lean towards Shields in a yearly league due to the durability and IP's he provides.

I wouldn't buy into Cobb as a SP1 since he hasn't even pitched more than 150 IP in a season. I like him, though I'd consider him a borderline SP2 just barely. He's more of a SP3 in my books.

I'm looking to add one more top starting pitcher before the season begins if possible. Howie Kendrick, Victor Martinez, Tex, Victorino, Soriano, OTB. Also could include a pitcher like Turner, Hughes or Peralta in any deal if a team needs a starter back.

Yup, sign a Mark Ellis, or trade for someone like Ackeley or Espinosa would have been smart moves. Also, signing a guy like Capuano now would be a terrific bargain; or even a guy like Floyd or Baker earlier this offseason. Lastly, they failed getting a RHB who could platoon with Lind and someone who could play a position - Ruggiano would have been a perfect fit (can play all 3 outfield positions and has crushed lefties throughout his career). -
