  1. Brock is probably like "Damnit guys, we bought the wrong message board."
  2. Considering how much the Jays have sucked this season, they're still ONLY 4.5 GB of the Yankees in the AL East. Obviously they need to turn things around quickly. Vladdy and Bo gotta start hitting the ball with more authority, Santander needs to go on a tear, and need the starters to go deep so the Jays don't overtax the pen.
  3. Hopefully you didn't stream Charlie Morton again.
  4. Bring back Cito Gaston! He'll tell all the hitters to start pulling the ball!
  5. Jays are favourites tonight on Bet365 haha.
  6. To make the games more entertaining, start betting on Blue Jays games. Should be able to make a bit of money on the side and if you don't, it still was fun! If you bet the Blue Jays to lose, but they still win, you're not upset. If you bet the Blue Jays to lose, and they do lose, you're not upset they lost. Only if you bet the Blue Jays to win and they lose, than its a double whammy, even worse than before. Those are the ebbs and flow however!

    Games were all fixed.
  8. Would love to see more of Josh Walker in the pen. Gotta love the high K/9. If the Jays can help him put it altogether, could be a dangerous arm out of the pen.

Hopefully Stolarz is alright. Leafs needed to win Game 1. At least worst case they head down to Sunrise tied 1-1.
  10. Only 2 pages in today's GDT. Very sad!
  11. You would hope Turnbull has been working out and throwing on the side (simulated games etc). Hopefully he just needs 2 or 3 starts in the minors. Even if his first or second MLB start he's on some kind of pitch count like 60-70 pitches that's fine.
  12. Can't say that about many Yankees players. Maybe the only other likeable Yankees star was Mariano Rivera. Everyone else not so much.
  13. Gausman was at 94 pitches and pretty much in cruise control the entire game. Though if the Jays knew they were going to be short in the pen, do you think he could have went one more inning? Not sure it would have made a difference, but just a question. I understand if he was already over 100 pitches and labouring most of the game.
  14. Also, sucks that Sandlin is on the IL. He definitely would have been part of the picture today.
  15. Aaron Judge is just on another level. 10 HR, 32 RBI, .430/.521/.777, 266 wRC+ and 3.3 WAR in 32 games. I hate the Yankees, but got to tip your hat when a ballplayer puts up those numbers.
  16. Yeah true, saw he also threw a lot of pitches on Wednesday. Damn timing.
  17. Tough loss. This one stings especially after the outing Gausman had! We could have been looking at a sweep tomorrow!
  18. I know Hoffman threw 26 pitches last night, but that made him unavailable? He should be able to pitch on back-to-back days.
  19. It's nice to see Atkins being pro-active in regards to the rotation depth issues. Turnbull if healthy should be a nice arm at the back of the rotation.
  20. I used to be into collecting hockey and baseball cards, but now the system is kind of rigged IMO against the collector. It's not worth getting into it if you're planning to make money from it. Like you said, you have to purchase a big 'Hobby' box to find that special rare card. Afterwards, you have to get it graded by a company like PSA which will cost $100. Unlikely to grade a 10 or 9.5 since they try to limit how many 10's there are. If you plan to sell it, other collectors will never give you "book value" for the card. If you sell it to a card shop, they likely only give you 60% of the card value because they have to turn around and sell it. Selling cards privately on FB Marketplace or eBay can be tough, since you have to price it right and at the end of the day the value of the card is in the eye of the beholder.
  21. Spencer Turnbull would be a nice pickup. Shocked nobody signed him in the offseason for a couple million as a No. 5 starter/swingman. Stripling signed a minor league deal with the Royals. Not sure if he opted out or not. Rich Hill could be another option but meh. Trade market should evolve end of June/beginning of July.
  22. Good thing the Orioles already scooped up Kyle Gibson. Let them suffer!
