    Jumped the gun too quickly before I made that comment. He was definitely a top 25 bat over 2012 and 2013 after looking into his stats more in detail.

    If he shops Bautista, you would think V-Mart is on the market as well. Ugh I still regret trading V-Mart to Spanky. I'm shocked V-Mart alone hasn't carried Spanky to first place. The guy has been a beast since I traded him.

    Luckily he's eligible at 1B as well in Yahoo. I have Butler in my ESPN salary league and he only has UTL eligibility ugh. Alongside he's $10.25 million against my cap this season and next.

    Was Craig ever really that good though? I mean he put together solid years in 2012 and 2013, though I felt he was always overrated. Doesn't walk that much - his .OBP driven by his high averages those seasons and he was never a profound power hitter. He had some sexy RBI totals, though other than that I just was never that high on him as some others made out to be. He's still a solid player though and I think a change of scenery is what he needs.

    Ah darn. I've benched Lewis for like his last two starts which were very good and decided to start him tonight in one of my dynasty leagues with 40 man rosters. UGHHHHHH!!!

    He's still not as good as his 2013 season suggested. He's a 2-3 WAR player.

    I always thought his 2013 season would never happen again. I expected him to fallback to his 2012 levels, which are still solid though he's even been far worse than that. He's hitting like he was in his last years with the Rangers before they moved him...

    This is why you make trades sooner rather than later. No doubt in my mind teams like the Angels, Cards, Brewers, Reds, Pirates will all be in the market for the same players the Jays need. Oakland was smart pulling the Shark/Hammel deal last weekend.

    McCarthy won't be anything special with the Yankees. He won't survive pitching in that park.

    Yeah I don't see how a bat like Prado would cost all that much. If the Jays can stay afloat until mid August when they get Lawrie and EE back, they should be in good shape.

    Many of the free agent signings for top bats don't look that great - Choo, Ellsbury, Fielder, Pujols, Hamilton, Granderson, Cano etc. There is no way the Jays could afford bats like both Bautista and EE on the open market.

    This is the weakest I've ever seen the AL East, and it would be a huge disappointment if the Jays missed out on the postseason this year. The Yankees and Red Sox look done - crazy to say that in July. The O's look like the team to beat, though they have their holes as well and we know when the Jays are healthy they are a better team. The Rays are creeping back and they always worry me. They have the pitching to get back into a race, and with some luck on their side it wouldn't shock me to see them playing meaningful games in August and September. This series against them will be huge and really could define the Jays season the rest of the way.
