  1. Thing is Rasmus becomes a FA next offseason. Likely wouldn't get a young pitcher with years of control - it would be tough. The only way is if that team can sign Rasmus long term. Secondly Rasmus needs to come off the DL and continue hitting like he did before he got injured. I think in the offseason a Homer Bailey/Rasmus swap could have been realistic (before Bailey signed his long term extension). Doubt the Cubs have interest since he doesn't fit into their long term plans. The Braves could use Rasmus, and I could see him signing an extension with them down in Georgia. Alex Wood would be sweet, though I doubt that would ever happen in a million dreams especially with them losing Medlen and Beachy this spring.

  3. Speaking of injuries, they are happening again. Beltran on the DL and Victorino going for an MRI ugh. Not looking good.
  4. Yeah Ken. No doubt when Morrow is healthy and everything is going right, he's a great pitcher and much better than MB. We saw what Morrow was capable of in 2010, 2011, and 2012. It's unfortunate that he hasn't been able to stay healthy and be durable throughout his career. I've always been a big Brandon Morrow fan - even bought his jersey back in 2010 haha seriously. Thing is the past two seasons, he hasn't stayed healthy and has been inconsistent on the mound. The results haven't been there and it seems like the Jays are always banking on his potential every ST to pitch like a No. 2 starter, which as we saw is a huge mistake. You can't rely on Morrow to pitch like a front of the rotation guy since he never can stay healthy.
  5. Stuff wise, yes Janssen will never have as good of stuff as Santos does. Though in terms of results, there is no debate.
  6. It's still early, but he's been a great story. I have him in my 30 team salary dynasty league I'm in. Lets see if he can handle the full workload of a starter (180-200 IP). It'll be interesting to see how he fares once he reaches the 100-120 inning mark.
  7. Could have told me this before I traded V-Mart to Spanky ugh!
  8. He's been racking up the strikeouts. I've always been a fan of McCarthy. If he stays healthy, he'll put together a strong season. Could be a decent trade target at the deadline perhaps.
  9. Phil Hughes rocked today, but the BP blew it for him ugh!
  10. Yeah, all the walks and wild pitches weren't his fault, just bad luck.
  11. Yeah his xFIP took a hit. No strikeouts at all. He was extremely lucky that those balls were hit right at fielders!
  12. Those CEO's of charities fly first class everywhere, take limos to and from the airports, and likely when out of town spend a boatload on dinner and drinks. Charities are the biggest scam.
  13. I'd rather take a trip back to Australia or Europe for a month at those prices.
  14. If I hear Buck say again "Don't get shutout" I'll go crazy!
  15. Yeah that's pretty crazy. Like who is bidding for these things? You have to be loaded. I couldn't justify spending $5000 to have a 30 minute practice with RA Dickey or Steve Delabar lol. How much would you spend/bid to practice with Mike Trout?
  16. Dickey MB Hutchison Stroman Redmond/Nolin That's better rather than both McGowan and Happ in the rotation.
  17. McGowan can be dominant out of the pen. Look at what he did last season. The Jays were foolish for never using him out of the BP to start the season especially with Janssen injured. I'm sick of seeing Stroman used in a mop-up role. Give him a rotation spot - let him have his ups/downs out of the rotation. Only way he'll learn.
  18. I likely wouldn't have done Kendrick for Garza now straight up anyways, would have wanted a pick swap. You should have pulled the trigger when I offered you the deal a couple of weeks ago.
