  1. I offered him Kendrick a couple of weeks ago straight up; even offered him a modest draft pick upgrade where he got a pick in the 40's and I'd get a pick in the 70s, and he wouldn't budge. Right now I was considering it, but likely wouldn't have done it.
  2. Wow for someone who was selling Garza at a steep price a couple of weeks ago, that's a huge drop. Kendrick is a much safer bet moving forward than Dee.
  3. Well no s*** since this is a dynasty league. I'm talking about performance thus far. I'm sure every poster has already made Boxy team references in this thread for all good fun. Your an easy target.
  4. He's the 33rd ranked player in Yahoo. He'd be the best player on your team right now.
  5. Yeah Beltran and V-Mart are almost exactly the same age, and I needed the OF help, since I had Tex/V-Mart/Napoli rotating at DH and at 1B when Freeman wasn't playing. I figured hold onto Tex since he's younger than V-Mart and I haven't been disappointed in Tex this season.
  6. His K/BB ratio was awful yesterday though at least he didn't harm my ERA category. I'll likely run with him until someone like Cingrini comes off the DL. Phil Hughes has been pitching quite well recently. I really need a contribution from him if I expect to compete.
  7. I tried that with Franklin Morales a couple of weeks ago and now with Jake Arrieta.
  8. Since I've traded V-Mart, he's been one of the best hitters in the game. It seems like he's hitting a HR every game. And Beltran might need surgery on his elbow ugh. And Napoli as my DH has been ice cold; and Ian Kennedy has been like unhittable. Nobody offered me anything great for V-Mart at all when I had him on the block. I'd still do that swap of V-Mart for Beltran at the time when I did though; however I'm greatly regretting it especially if Beltran lands himself on the DL.
  9. I offered you Howie Kendrick for Garza a while ago, which was more than fair and I'd still be willing to consider it. If you still think Garza is worth far more than Kendrick, then meh.
  10. Sent you an e-mail. You raped me on that Beltran/V-Mart swap so why not go in for the kill haha
  11. Also, read RA Dickey's new book "Knuckleball Ted." I think it provides great insight on the game, written by none other the former NL Cy Young himself!
  12. Someone proposed me this deal in the 20 team dynasty league I'm in with 40 man rosters: I send Christian Yelich, Mia OF I send Oscar Taveras, StL OF I send Trevor Bauer, CLE SP I receive Bryce Harper*, Wsh OF I receive Kris Medlen*, Atl SP I receive Patrick Corbin*, Ari SP Giving up both Taveras and Yelich is quite hefty in my view. It's Bryce Harper though, and trading for him in a dynasty league doesn't come around that often haha.
  13. ERA and W-L record are the most important I'm not poking fun at that stat - giving him some baseball advice. I prefer SIERA over xFIP, just my own opinion. Both stats are extremely useful and are definitely ranked at the top of my books along with some others as well.
  14. lol Reyes is made of glass seriously.
  15. 1) Listen to Mike Wilner's post game on the Fan 590. He is the best! 2) Keep reading the board on here. A lot of insightful posters and discussions which will help you learn more about baseball. 3) Join a fantasy baseball league. It's a good start to get familiar with other players and teams as well. 4) Anytime you want to go to a game, I suggest you go to a game with Spanky, who is a frequent poster on these boards. Going to a game with him is priceless. 5) xFIP is the best pitching stat. So Brandon Morrow and Sergio Santos are really good pitchers who have had an extraordinary amount of bad luck this season. But this issue is put to rest since both are on the DL for an extended period of time.
  16. I don't like Gibson that much as well - not a relevant starter in fantasy baseball.
  17. Jeff Francouer is the next Sergio Santos.
  18. You now owe me a pint of beer for this violation.
  19. Look at what Wilner responded to on my Twitter haha https://twitter.com/ssansano7/status/465207266351013889

  22. I'd say Joe Carter. He hit that big home run which won them the World Series in 93!
