I know this isn't the NFL, though did anyone see this play? http://espn.go.com/blog/ncfnation/post/_/id/98927/watch-player-plays-dead-during-fake-punt
  3. Jonathan Lucroy doesn't have that bod my friend.

They shut down the Vikings message board because of all the outrage. Crazy!
  7. Yeah Ellsbury should have won in 2011 over Verlander. I didn't agree with that at all. And with the NL this year, there is really no clear cut winner, so I'm sure Kershaw will get heavy consideration. If Kershaw logged 250-260 + innings, I wouldn't have a problem, though he might not even reach 200 innings this season. I just can't justify a starter winning an MVP award when they don't log close to 250-260 innings in a season, since I place huge value on that in this day of age.
  8. Yikes Hisashi Iwakuma with an awful line tonight.
  9. Don't forget 2002, 2008 and 2010 - those were still decent seasons. He was almost worth 4 WAR in 2010 lol.
  10. Stanton and McCutchen play everyday. Stanton played a huge role in keeping the Marlins in it until September despite them losing Jose Fernandez for the entire 2014 season; McCutchen would play a huge part in pushing the Pirates to the playoffs as well and plays CF; Lucroy has been one of the most valuable players this season and he plays one of the most demanding positions in baseball. Kershaw might not even make it to 200 innings this season. I know he's been having a historic season, though there is an award already for him to win.
  11. Jays talk with Mike Wilner until midnight every night this week. I'm so pumped!
  12. Yeah deGrom has been really solid this year. Hamilton has been extremely valuable. I'm sure if his overall numbers were better, the writers would definitely give him the nod, though an average in the .250s and an .OBP below .300 likely won't sit well with the writers.
  13. Jacob deGrom for NL Rookie of the Year?
  14. Doesn't every MLB player adjust their crotch? lol. Heck are they going to make spitting illegal next?
  15. I think he deserves the NL Cy Young - not the MVP. He'll be in discussion for the MVP, though like I said I'd rather someone like Stanton, McCutchen or Lucroy get it.
  16. He's been really good this year. His K/BB ratio is absurd!
  17. Yeah that's why I don't see Lucroy getting much MVP consideration unfortunately, unless he pads some of his HR and RBI numbers and the Brewers make the playoffs, which is something the writers will fap about!
  18. He's a worthy candidate don't get me wrong, though my vote would go to an everyday player like Stanton or McCutch over Kershaw.
  19. Lets see if I could pull off the upset over Dinger for a second straight week
  20. My problem with Kershaw winning the NL MVP is that he might just barely pass the 200 IP mark this season. He's still in the conversation though I'd still give it to Stanton or McCutchen over Kershaw first.
  21. His batting average isn't .300 though
  22. For Headley, I know ugh!
  23. I'm unsure how much weight is given to the pitch framing estimates. I doubt many voters will take framing into consideration.
  24. I think Trout wins the AL MVP hands down. Sure his other seasons might have been better, though he has been the best in the AL and he's played a big part in the Angels winning their division. Brantley and Abreu I'm sure will get some votes, though Trout is a no-brainer for me.
  25. lol what a prima donna!
