  1. Wouldn't Dave Martinez be the ideal candidate? I'd definitely like to see Kevin Cash manage someday; I'm not sure about Raul Ibanez just yet haha

I think Lisa Ann should be at every Raptors game if Terrance Ross plays like this. She is the difference maker for him haha

She is? haha oh wow. If it was Remy Lacroix, Boxy would be down in a heartbeat haha

I shall look at the prices of tickets for that game!
  7. One of the best platoons (Cat/Johnson) utilized in recent memory. I usually don't thank your posts, though I just did.
  8. And if the season started today, Ryan Goins would be the starting second baseman again. Ugh!

Have fun. Was offered seats this past Tuesday from a friend who has season tickets (face value $120 each and she was offering them to me for $40 each). I would have went but was just getting back from Beamtown and was under the weather with a bad cold. I want to go next Friday maybe vs. the Jazz or against the Mavs later this month.
  10. Comeback player of the year in 2015?
  11. Yeah if he's planning on moving MB or building a package which includes some of the young arms, then its understandable. Though if things stay the status quo, with Dickey, MB, Stroman, Hutch in the rotation, and none of Sanchez, Norris, Nolin are moved in trades, then the Jays only need one of Happ or Estrada.
  12. Meh, I think Estrada could be valuable as the No. 5 guy, even pitching in the AL East (which isn't that fearful as it once was). He's been good with the Brewers the previous two seasons before 2014. Personally, I'd rather save the $3-4 by having Estrada as the No. 5 guy over Happ, because at the end of the day I don't think there is a huge difference between the two. Plus, the Jays have a lot of depth with Norris, Sanchez, Nolin etc. as depth like Vik said.
  13. Not sure he'll ever be a 5 WAR player again. I'm sure after his postseason, it drove up his price.
  14. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/11833882/pablo-sandoval-seeks-6-year-deal-san-francisco-giants-engaged Sandoval asking for 6 years? Wow.

Anyone going to the Raps game tonight? They are wearing their old jerseys which looks awesome!
  16. He's not that good defensively and with his injury history/durability issues, no thanks!
  17. Yeah the Jays have to move either Happ or Estrada. They shouldn't waste $3-4 million on Estrada as a long man in the pen, when they already have Todd Redmond who did a solid job this past season.
  18. Yeah you can run a platoon at one of the positions - it worked back in 2005 & 2006 with Reed Johnson and Frank Catalanotto. Having a platoon in both would be awful roster management.
  19. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/2014-trade-value-the-top-10/ Tulo ranked 6th on the list.
  20. Soriano retired today - he'll always be measured up to that big contract he signed. He was still a solid player regardless.
  21. Wasn't Tulo ranked on FanGraphs as having one of the top trade values still, even with his contract?
  22. http://m.mlb.com/news/article/100571592/former-big-league-lefty-brad-halsey-dies-at-33 He wasn't a big name, though former MLB lefty Brad Halsey died last week due to a recreational climbing accident. I remember watching him pitch against the Jays in 2004 and he was one of the pieces the Yankees traded to Arizona for Randy Johnson. 33 is a young age - sad news to hear. RIP edit: was actually at that game on October 3rd, 2004 (http://scores.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=241003114). Was a big Josh Towers fan and it was the last day of the season. Also, that's the day John Cerutti died.
