  1. Me and Spanky are alright. We will have our disagreements from time to time, though there are no hard feelings or grudges held towards each other.
  2. Bernier wasn't going to win me a championship anytime soon. I really like my offensive core now of Toews, Duchene, Landeskog, Galchenyuk, Tatar and O'Reilly moving forward along with some of my other pieces. I'm hoping Raanta or Darling get traded and get more playing time. Add another vet goalie into the mix possibly at some point in the offseason would really help.
  3. Markets change, new goalies always come along and find their way into starting jobs.
  4. We both were a match. Other teams asked me about Bernier though I was offered crap. I'm a huge ROR fan, and I think this deal worked out well for both clubs. I wasn't going to win with Bernier as my No. 1 goaltender period, so I'm sure he holds more value as a No. 2 to another team with another viable No. 1 goalie.
  5. You're just getting your panties all tied up in knots because I didn't trade you the Sedin's. So every move I make now is me getting bent over?! Stop it.
  6. Thanks for the math lesson. Was Bernier truly a No. 1 goalie? Would have I ever won anything with him? Don't think so.
  7. I've been bent over again? Bernier isn't anything special to begin with. I actually prefer Reimer to Bernier in my opinion. He's quite overrated. But yeah I forgot, this league overvalues goalies! Even mediocre ones!
  8. Yeah I understand. I doubt you move Lundqvist and teams move a Carey Price etc. Need to be a perfect match. I wasn't going to win anything with Bernier as my No. 1 goaltender anyways, so trading him for ROR doesn't crush me by any means. I love ROR and I believe he can be a top-6 forward.
  9. There used to be a lot of talent at SS. Back in 2007/2008, guys like Tulo, Han-Ram, Rollins, Reyes, Hardy, Peralta and even Yunel were at the top of their game offensively. Even vets like Jeter, Guillen and Young were still valuable assets in fantasy.
  10. True, though not ridiculously overpaying for a goalie if I'm dealing players like Toews.
  11. Bernier isn't anything special.
  12. A lot of Desmond's value is tied into his power numbers. If he doesn't produce 20+ HR's and 80-90 RBI, he's nothing special. His wRC+ has dropped three straight years and with him getting older, I'm sure he has already reached his peak. Desmond just worries me. I don't consider him a top 25-30 fantasy asset, let alone a Top 50 asset as some others would. He's definitely been one of the top SS's in the game over the past three years, though I would be scared trading a lot of talent or drafting him high in a redraft league as he enters his 30's. Castro isn't a sure bet, though I've always valued players who have age on their side, along with upside. I'd rather roll the dice on Castro over the next 5 years vs. Desmond. Just my opinion.
  13. In a yearly league, I'd take Tulo, Desmond, Reyes, Hanley, and possibly Zobrist over Castro. Peralta has been quite awful offensively before and you know what you're getting with Alexei. Bogaerts has upside, no denying that. Though SS in essence is a weak position. After Tulo, the dropoff is huge. I probably would avoid taking a Desmond or Reyes in the Top 50-60 and wait to take a SS later on.
  14. Desmond is touching 30, and if his power numbers decline some what, he loses significant value. His overall batting line isn't anything sexy. Since he's a SS who could hit between 20-25 HR's, and get dem 80-90 RBI along with 20 SB, he's an attractive asset in fantasy. Don't get me wrong, Desmond is a top SS in fantasy baseball if he hits for power, though he worries me especially long term. His other offensive numbers haven't been anything special and wRC+ has dropped three consecutive years from 128 to 108. His .255/.313/.430 slash line isn't that sexy if he doesn't produce those 20+ HR's, 80-90 RBI and 20 + SB. I just wouldn't touch Desmond anywhere in the Top 50-60 picks of a draft. He's still one of the top SS's right now, though that shows you how weak the position is after someone like Tulo. I've owned Desmond in other dynasty leagues and I've traded him in both instances. Sure Desmond > Castro now, though over the next five years I'd rather own Castro than Desmond. At least Castro has shown he can hit and I still believe he has some untapped power potential.
  15. Yeah probably wouldn't get a Carey Price lol, though I'd be willing to move Toews in the offseason for a goalie who could provide Top 25-30 value.
  16. I'd rather roll the dice on Castro moving forward over a guy like Desmond for example. SS is such a weak position in fantasy. After Tulo, the drop-off is huge.
  17. Starlin Castro is available for teams looking for a young SS. He rebounded nicely last season and he has the upside to take his offensive game to another level. He's still only 24!
  18. I'd be open to moving Toews for an elite goalie. It's something I'd entertain in the offseason since I'm sure teams in contention right now wouldn't want to move a Carey Price for example.
  19. I think I ended up flipping Berkman for Wily Peralta shortly afterwards as well. I've made some poor decisions in this league however. Jake Arrieta still haunts me and NJH will probably rub that one in my face for the next decade.
  20. Shoot I made deals with Boxy in the past? I guess we got along back then
  21. It will be tougher to make moves now and during the season agreed. I'll have to get creative with some pieces already on my MLB roster. I don't mind trading someone like a Starlin Castro, Andrew Heaney or one of my other arms in order to make upgrades.
  22. Outside of Faulk's +/- this season, he's definitely a young defensemen on the rise. Scandella is getting a lot of minutes in Minny and looks like he can be a breakout candidate possibly next season. Yeah I probably shouldn't have included Kronwall in the deal, my mistake. Should have started lower first. Regardless, outside of you and BTS there wasn't anybody else who inquired about the Sedin's, and judging by the market it seemed like players 35 + just weren't hot commodities around the league.
  23. Bernier, Lupal, Comeau, Erhoff, and Beleskey are available. Also, will entertain offers on Toews and Faulk, so if you want to take advantage of me this could be your opportunity!
  24. I told you that I was looking more at someone who was already in the NHL. My deal with BTS had nothing to do with what happened over the summer.
