  1. Oh I know, though hearing that Santana could go 2nd overall baffles me. Nobody valued the guy when I was shopping him. His SS/CF eligibility and his SB potential makes him look nice, though don't think he posts that slash line again.
  2. Agreed. I can afford to be patient with him. He's also only 21 and he had a nice rookie season last year. You drafted him in the 12th round I believe, and I took Kronwall back in the 8th.
  3. Yeah the Sedin's have been OTB forever and I didn't receive any interest from anyone other than Spanky and I'm the one who went to BTS since he inquired about them back in December. There didn't seem like a huge market for them unfortunately and my preference was getting a young top NHL forward vs. prospects. Alex Galchenyuk is only 21 and is having a strong season with the Habs. BTS actually drafted him in the 5th round this past fall, where I drafted the Sedin's in the 4th and 6th. As for Kronwall, I offered him up because BTS originally didn't want to part with Galchenyuk at first. Probably should have offered a lesser defensemen first, though whatever. I definitely lose this deal now, though I'm hoping this deal helps me in the next year or two. Face it, my team wasn't going anywhere this season. I really like my core now moving forward with Toews, Landeskog, Duchene, Tatar, Galchenyuk, Beleskey and my defensive core of Faulk, Myers, Murray, Scandella. Plus, I have a ton of solid picks in the early rounds, so I'll be able to continue replenishing my farm system with younger talent. Fantasy Hockey isn't one of my strengths like baseball, so I was bound to make a bad move for once

From playing on a first place team with Stanley Cup aspirations to one of the worst teams in the league, I think anyone would be upset lol. Olli really stunk it up in Nashville though so he had to see this coming in terms of either being traded or released.
  7. Once you list the players/prospects you cut, then can they still be traded?
  8. What happened?
  9. We both put the past behind us and started fresh. Spanky is a great guy!
  10. Looking to move Starlin Castro, Carlos Beltran, Nelson Cruz, Mike Napoli, Aaron Hill, Andrew Headley, Phil Hughes. Send me a PM.
  11. Blake Comeau is back off the IR and is available if any playoff contenders are interested. Has both LW/RW eligibility and has been having a very nice season playing on the Penguins second line. He has 12 G and 9 A in 33 games this season, and he'll give you a ton of HITS!

Well the Bucks have a better record so far, though agree OKC is a much better team on paper when healthy than them. The East isn't as bad as it once was. Sure the 7th and 8th seed might be .500 or with losing records, though the teams at the top of the conference are contenders for a title. OKC missed KD for a long period of time, and Westbrook has been injury prone missing time as well. Obviously when those two are healthy, OKC is a top team, though there is a reason why they are .500 this season. KD has only played 23 games and RW has only played 36. Sorry but if the reasoning for this decision is because OKC might miss the playoffs, well thats not a valid reason. Injuries are part of the game.

Most of the teams in the East have been really good this season. It's not an awful conference as it once was. Toronto, Atlanta, Cleveland, Chicago, Washington are all serious contenders. Miami might miss the playoffs in the East, so if Silver's main motive to change the playoff structure because OKC could miss the playoffs, then what about a team like the Heat. I know they don't have KD and RW, though Wade and Bosh still grab a lot of spotlight in the NBA.

Refs have a huge influence in football and soccer especially. I'd say those along with basketball are the worst three.
  19. Wasn't Archie Bradley one of the top pitching prospect like a couple of years ago? Goes to show you that prospects are sometimes way overhyped in fantasy. I remember inquiring about him (not sure which league) and he was basically deemed untouchable. Like NJH said he's probably a good buy low right now, though it goes to show you how a prospects value can just take a nosedive.

  21. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/12244508/arizona-diamondbacks-hire-joe-carter-assistant-general-manager-dave-stewart Joe Carter hired as the special assistant to Dave Stewart in Arizona lol.
  22. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/12239715/baltimore-orioles-acquire-travis-snider-trade-pittsburgh-pirates Snider with the Orioles. Hopefully he doesn't have a huge breakout with them like Chris Davis and Steve Pearce have over the last couple of years.
  23. Still have some veteran BP arms that I could move: - Casey Janssen (just signed with the Nats) - Rafael Soriano (possibly the Jays closer?) Can easily make a profit with these guys if they find their way into a 9th inning role.
