  1. A ballpark along the lake where Ontario Place is would have been really nice. Thing is it would have been a pain to get to (no subway access) and there aren't many venues around which are walking distance where people could go before and after games.

It sucks because I got a flex pack and the only game over the holidays was the Knicks game lol. Wanted to see at least another game or two over the holidays at the ACC.
  3. I love watching Archer episodes on Netflix - always get a good laugh. Nothing beats South Park though.
  4. I think Stroman can be a 20-game winner with Russell Martin behind the plate. So my vote goes to Stroman.
  5. Would have been a nice depth arm for Buffalo!
  6. Bring back Johnny Mac!!!
  7. Did anyone get a free coffee off of Doug Fister the other day?
  8. I'm looking forward to watching Russell Martin and him framing every pitch!
  9. Just watched this on CBC right now. Crazy stuff!
  10. I'm looking to move some starting pitchers either for a bat, or prospects. Mike Fiers Vance Worley Chris Tillman Wily Peralta Also, Phil Hughes is available as well and I'm willing to package him and Starlin Castro for a top bat. Additionally, I'm willing to move Curtis Granderson, Casey Janssen and Rafael Soriano for picks. If a rebuilding team wants to take a flier on those guys, especially Janssen or Soriano who could land closing gigs, could be an easy way to make a profit.
  11. Steamer projects him for -0.3 WAR next season. Also, they project him to appear in 55 games, 20 of them starts lol.
  12. Carlos Silva only issued 9 walks in 188 IP during the 2005 season. And two of those were IBB. So he only walked 7 guys lol.
  13. I've been simulating my Blue Jays franchise in the Show for the 2015 season and some interesting things occurred. I'll post the stats later, though this is a general sense of what went down: - All three of Jose Bautista, EE and JD have monster years again. - Michael Saunders struggles offensively big time. - Russell Martin struggles offensively big time as well; though I'm sure his pitch framing is superb - RA Dickey crashes in a big way; had to remove him from the rotation lol. - MB puts together another solid season. - Drew Hutchison strikes out 200 batters and is the Jays second best pitcher/ - I hate this one - Marcus Stroman struggles and I had to send him down to the minors at the end of June. - Sanchez started out of the BP and then I sent him to the minors to prepare him as a starter, and he's flourished out of the rotation (I think he made 15 starts, gotta check). I made some of my own moves in the offseason (signed AJ Burnett, V-Mart and Koji Uehera to one-year deals), and also traded for AJ Pollock to play in CF and had Danny Espinosa & Chris Owings at 2B. I then traded for Chase Utley, Mike Adams and Antonio Bastardo at the trade deadline lol. As for some ex-Blue Jays: - Lawrie stays healthy and has a solid year in Oakland (I'll post up the stats later). Still Donaldson is much better - Rasmus signed with CHW in the offseason, and had a so-so year offensively. - Melky signed with Detroit lol, though he was nothing special offensively. I think he eclipsed 20 HR's last time I checked. - McGowan signed with the Marlins and was flipped between the rotation and pen.
  14. But Bautista hits more home runs and always gets a lot of RBI's!
  15. Yeah that's going to be tough to sustain - it was a career best from him and I don't think we have seen a SP maintain a BB/9 below 1 for multiple years in a row (well off the top of my head I can't think of anybody). Like BTS said, Hughes likely goes back to being in the 1.5 range. Unbelievable season he had though! Edit: Cliff Lee had a 0.79 BB/9 in 2010, though never again had a season in which he was below 1 BB/9 again. Carlos Silva in 2005 had a 0.43 BB/9 back with the Twins lol. And Jon Lieber and David Wells were both at 0.92 BB/9 in 2004. Also, Wells in 2003 was 0.85 BB/9 so he had back-to-back seasons with a BB/9 below 1.
  16. Brad Radke type control, though with better K/9.
  17. How about Corey Patterson?
  18. He's always had decent BB rates (2.16 BB/9 in 2012). Just this season he literally walked almost nobody. Do you think he can sustain something similar 0.69 BB/9 moving forward?
  19. Phil Hughes is available in the DDL. Send me some wise offers.
  20. What about prior to 2014?
  21. Not really - the A's have a lot of starting pitching depth after all the trades they've made still. I'd say Chavez is back in the rotation come Opening Day since Griffin or Parker might not be ready. Though he's definitely expendable and it's not like the A's don't have any arms. Also, I'm sure the A's sign a veteran SP like how they did with Colon and Kazmir over the past couple of seasons. Gray Kazmir Hahn Chavez Griffin Parker Bassitt Pomeranz Nolin Graveman
  22. Aren't many of the Kings offensive stars struggling? Kopitar, Gaborik, Richards, Brown etc.
  23. LW Matt Beleskey 15G - 3A - +/- 11 - 84 SOG - 80 Hits - 18 Blks (ranked 75th on Yahoo) Picked up on waivers near the beginning of the season - not bad.
  24. Dioner Navarro for Jesse Chavez! Get it done AA!
  25. Who saw this kind of offseason from San Diego happening? I'm not a fan of all the moves they've made, though its nice to see the Padres making splashes and headlines.
