I think I've mentioned how I'm open to moving Danny Santana numerous times, and no inquiries. Even in trade discussions with other clubs, nobody wanted Santana as a third piece in a larger deal or trade talks in general. Cutting him doesn't hurt me. He's a nice speedy option who is eligible at SS/CF, though don't think he hits as well as he did last season. Would loved to have got a draft pick for him, though no suitors. Plus I'm sure me flooding the boards with "Danny Santana is available" would have lead to other mangers bashing him saying he sucks. So yeah! I was able to move Curtis Granderson, Vance Worley, and Tyler Chatwood, guys who I weren't planning on to keep.

No. It means that I had solid all-around roster, and that my 21st and 22nd guys would have been better than some other teams 18th, 19th, 20th guys. I shopped a bunch of those guys for picks and nobody wanted them. Nobody offered me a late pick for Rafael Soriano or Casey Janssen (which is what all it would have cost), and nobody wanted Danny Santana etc.

Impressive stretch of games from the Raptors. Houston will be a real test tonight and so will Golden State next Friday. I like the Raptors chances of going deep into the playoffs. The only teams in the East that I'm worried about are the Bulls and the Cavs. I was going to say the Heat as well, though Bosh could be done for the season.

The thing is nobody inquired about the Sedin's at all other than you and BTS (which was a month ago). The other 17 teams had a fair and equal chance at making an offer or asking me about them, and they didn't. So what does that say? It told me there wasn't a huge market for them. You came in with a strong offer, though I told you I preferred a deal focused around a top young player already in the NHL. As for Bernier/ROR, I wasn't raped at all. ROR was taken ahead of Bernier in the same round, and the guy notched close to 70 pts last season as a 23-year-old. Bernier wasn't anything spectacular even with playing time, so its not like I was going to ride him to a championship ever. ROR as a potential 70-80 pt player is more valuable to me moving forward than a mediocre Bernier.
