  1. His K/BB ratio has been superb. He tends to struggle against RHB and in a tie game where one pitch can decide the game, he shouldn't be there facing a RHB. All 6 HR's given up have come against RHB. Liam Hendricks should have been in that spot. I know its a small sample, though according to FanGraphs leverage index this season, Loup has a 4.10 xFIP in high leverage situations. Otherwise, he has been great.
  2. Carrera being scooped off waivers in the LOD right now!
  3. He's making you look like a dumb ass!
  4. This thread is hilarious. I've never seen so many posters snap at like every play/decision made by players/management etc. I guess we're all back on the Carrera bandwagon?
  5. He just made a nice catch.
  6. I'm sure being a DH has helped A-Rod greatly. It's likely just a one season thing, I don't see A-Rod hitting this way next season. We've seen a bunch of vet bats who've had a rejuvenated year in their late 30's and then not following up those performances the following season (e.g. Vladdy with Texas in 2010, Berkman with St. Louis, Beltran with St. Louis).
  7. Did they make the postseason last year?
  8. I have no clue why the Mariners are still pitching Rodney in high leverage situations lol.
  9. Hamels no-hitter! Possibly his last start with the Phillies as well.
  10. Unless the Jays go far into the postseason, there won't be any baseball games. If the Yankees make the World Series, then you can fly down easily to NYC (only 1 HR flight) to catch a game, though tickets would be super expensive. Pittsburgh is quite close as well (5-6 HR drive). Again, it depends on if these teams make it far into the postseason. For other sports, you can probably catch an Argos game or TFC game. As well, the Leafs start up in October and could probably catch a Raptors exhibition game.
  11. Randal Grichuk has been pretty awesome! Can never go wrong with a True Card!
  12. Happy Carlos Carrasco vs. Chris Sale day!
  13. He's showing glimpses of his glory days with the Mets tonight. He was an exciting player to watch back then.
  14. Happy Nick Tropeano night!
  15. Agreed. Their bullpen with Miller and Betances is the best in this division and they have a good enough rotation (better than the Jays at least) to survive at the top of their division. Their lineup is still pretty solid, only if they are healthy. Tex and A-Rod are having huge years, McCann is still a threat, and have a pretty good outfield with Ellsbury and Gardner. Nobody took advantage of when the Yankees were banged up, and now with a full roster they are showing that they are the team to beat in the AL East.
  16. The opportunity was to win it in the 9th. They needed to push across more runs with the bases loaded especially with their 2-3-4 hitters up. Disgusting. I knew after the Jays tying it up at 3-3 that they'd lose.
  17. I've always been a huge Choo fan though his best days are behind him at 33. He can still be solid asset in fantasy like you said, though I wouldn't buy into him thinking he is going to recapture his glory days with Cleveland or his only season in Cincy. He doesn't have CF eligibility anymore and he doesn't seem like the 20 SB threat he once was back in his prime.
  18. Some people putting money down as well lol: Gibbers: "I'll put a $100 on the line for your new league that by the end of year 4 with the structure you've currently discussed there will be a clear divide amongst the best/middle & worst teams. And the stipulations be you can't alter the structure or hold managers hands that stink." http://www.forums.mlb.com/discussions/Toronto_Blue_Jays/_/_/ml-bluejays/88457.121 Is there a clear divide amongst the best/middle/worst teams?
