  1. He pitched 266 innings along with 9 CG and posted a 7 WAR season. His K/9 though was 6.90 which is very low in comparison to guys like Sale & Kershaw today, though Doc was never a huge strikeout guy to begin with. He still managed 204 K's that season, along with a 3.25 ERA and 2.96 xFIP. Halladay had an awful April if I recall. From May 1st to the end of the season he went 22-5 in 30 starts, pitching 227.1 innings, and posting a 2.97 ERA and 2.84 xFIP. Loaiza had a pretty similar season, posting a 6.9 WAR. Had 21 wins vs. Halladay's 22 (not sure that would have made a difference between the voters). Though he had a much better K/9 rate of 8.23 and a 2.90 ERA though a higher xFIP of 3.34 and pitched 226.1 innings which were 40 less than Doc. Though fascinating how in less innings, Loaiza was just -0.1 WAR less than Doc. There can be a debate who should have won the AL Cy Young Award that season.
  2. 2003 was a fun season, which was frustrating at times. They had no pitching after Halladay, until they moved Kelvim Escobar to the rotation. Cory Lidle was a huge disappointment in his only season with Toronto, Mark Hendrickson made 30 starts for them and was awful. They ran out guys like Tanyon Sturtze, Corey Thurman, Doug Davis, Pete Walker, John Wasdin in the rotation. Josh Towers pitched well for them in his first stint with the Jays that season going 6-1 in 8 starts. Additionally, the bullpen was a huge mess for the entire season. Aquilino Lopez was their best reliever that season lol. The lineup was one of the best in baseball that season I remember. Both Delgado and Wells had huge years, and they got solid production out of their supporting cast of players like Frank Catalanotto, Mike Bordick, Greg Myers, Reed Johnson etc. Phelps never followed up on his hype from 2002, though he still posted a .268/.358/.470 slash line and people were still high on him heading into 2004. Hinske had an awful sophomore season, though he did manage to hit 45 doubles that season, which did provide a bit of hope for him to rebound in 2004, though we all know happened haha.
  3. Halladay won the Cy in 2003 and Delgado almost won the MVP that year (he came second to A-Rod).
  4. Joni Ortio
  5. Ryan Murray
  6. Don't know if this was mentioned, though the A's called up Barry Zito. As well, he might make a start against Tim Hudson next week, which is super cool.
  7. Gausman, Schoop, Wieters, Britton, Wei-Yin Chen (has done well since joining their organization)
  8. The Orioles should focus on extending Manny Machado to a team friendly deal more than anything this offseason.
  9. For season tickets, I'd go at least half in with someone or even 3 people. 81 games is a lot of home games, and if you plan on going to only 5-10, its not really worth it. Sometimes its even tough to get rid of tickets (especially if the team does poorly). If you were going to get a pair of season tickets, 500 levels are probably your best option. At least you can easily resell them at $10 or cheaper on Stubhub to weeknight games against crummy teams, and its easy to make a profit during a premium weekend game. Even if you end up eating some tickets, you wouldn't feel that bad since those seats are cheap to begin with. As well with season tickets (not sure if they do this anymore) you can trade in your tickets up to 25 times I believe for other games. So for example, if it was a weeknight game against the Rays and you wanted to get some extra tickets vs. the Yankees (in a similar area to your season tickets), they can do that during a trade in. Then it would be easier to resell those premium games instead.
  10. When does the waiver draft start?
  11. I'm neither. I just find it hysterical that you created an account on this message board in order to start a new thread whining about how your Blue Jays postseason tickets are electronic tickets.
  12. The OP should lose his postseason tickets for this complaining... http://cdn.meme.am/instances/59284911.jpg
  13. You can print off as many copies as you want from your PDF tickets. So after the games, print off the extra copies and then frame them!
  14. Mostly every ticket is electronic these days when you purchase online. Be thankful that you have tickets to the postseason and stop whining about that they are electronic copies and not hard copies.
  15. For some reason G Andrey Makarov from Buffalo isn't in the Yahoo database and I had him rostered on my team last season and planned on using him as one of my 15 keepers. So when I submit my keepers on Yahoo, just submit 14?
  16. Didn't you get the memo? There are a record number of people attending baseball games for the first time in their lives with this Blue Jays surge. So stupid decisions like that are bound to happen more lol.
  17. Inconsistent yes. You can't trust him in the postseason. Doubt he makes a start in October.
  18. If the Jays have a better record than Houston, then yes.
  19. I'm going to the Thursday and Saturday game.
  20. I would have rested him mid season and then save his arm for down the stretch and into the postseason. Even limiting his innings per start (instead of going 7 or 8, make the max 6). Thing is once you're in the postseason, you may never have that type of opportunity again. I love the Mets moving forward, though I'm sure Washington makes some significant moves this offseason and improves. Sucks for fans, though I understand Harvey's situation as well. When $100 + million is at stake, there is no f***ing around.
  21. I hate using Kijiji. I find people on there are really cheap. Like some offers I've got on tickets before were f***ing ridiculous. Someone literally offered me $80 for the pair of tickets I had for the Raptors first playoff game last season. I've had some luck selling on their, though very rarely. I sold my pair of Yankees tickets in August for $300 to this chick from Richmond Hill lol. Basically paid for half of my flex pack right there!
  22. Thing is on Stubhub, ticket prices are usually astronomical before gameday. There is no way people pay that type of money for outfield seats, as hot as the Blue Jays are. And thats with every ballpark. For example, when I was in San Fran last week, all tickets in the lower level people on Stubhub were asking ridiculous prices days before the game. However 2-3 hours before I was able to snag seats 7 rows behind home plate for $77 USD each, when those seats face value are at $180 each through the Giants. You should be able to get slightly more than face value though not $200 for the pair lol.
  23. You can probably get good markup on 500 level seats or outfield seats. Lower levels around the infield and dugout likely will be tough to markup since they are quite expensive face value to begin with.
