  1. Here are some examples that could happen just off the top of my head. Lets say if the seller has posted his/her tickets on both StubHub and Vivid Seats. Lets say those tickets were sold on StubHub first though minutes later they then were bought on Vivid Seats before the seller was able to remove them. I had this happen to me with Raptors tickets last winter, though Vivid Seats actually called my cell phone and said the seats I bought were no longer available because the seller already sold them previously. Also, if the seller has those seats listed on StubHub, though is also listing them on lets say Kijiji and finds a buyer who meets up and pays cash, and the seller forgets or doesn't remove those seats from StubHub, then yeah you could get screwed if that buyer from Kijijji scans his/her ticket first to enter the venue. At least with StubHub or Vivid Seats, you have 100% protection guarantee when buying, so if you don't get into the venue, Stubhub will try to find you other similar seats or give you a refund. Thats the key rather than buying off someone from Kijijji or a scalper outside the ballpark.
  2. He's put up better numbers than V-Mart though...
  3. Sites like StubHub and Vivid Seats are 100% trustworthy for buying tickets on the secondary market. As a buyer, I'd rather buy an expensive ticket on StubHub over an actual scalper or from someone on Kijiji, since the ticket you are purchasing is verified and legit. You would get your money refunded if the game isn't played.
  4. Should you be talking that bad about the Leafs? You know your employer has a majority stake in MLSE now lol
  5. Anyone going to get Yankees postseason tickets during the presale tomorrow?
  6. This is the best time to sell. Every 6 PM news is talking about how Blue Jays postseason tickets went on sale today, how their were 70,000 queued online at 10 AM and how many people ended up disappointed. Even Sportsnet 360 on their commercial updates are stating this. I'm sure many fans who didn't get seats today are panicking and will likely hit the button on what are the best priced tickets on Stubhub (which are still quite high). If you're a seller, I'd list your tickets below what everyone else is listing their tickets at because I'm sure someone will go online and think "wow this is an amazing deal" and purchase them. If you list your tickets at a high, yet what seems reasonable price in comparison to the other tickets on the market, you can take advantage.
  7. Yup. I'm sure if you make your seats the lowest in that section or out of the entire 500s period, like in the upper $100s or lower $200s, some people will budge since thats the best price they see right now. Like burnlingtonbandit said, this is probably the worst time to buy though it probably is the best time to sell if you list your tickets at a reasonable price in comparison to some of the other high ridiculous prices, since I'm sure most people who didn't get tickets are panicking to get their hands on anything. If you make your pair standout from the hundreds of other tickets listed, I'm sure you can sell them right now and get great markup. Still, as the date gets closer and many of those 500 level seats that are listed above $300 don't move, they will be dropping and I'm sure they will be dropping close to what your tickets went for today, probably even less. You took advantage of all the hype today from postseason tickets going on sale from panicking fans who saw what they thought was the best deal on StubHub at the time. Applause.
  8. Congratulations!
  9. You can open the top parts of the windows I believe. Though yeah I'm just saying I'd rather watch the game from the hotel instead of spending a lot on nosebleeds in the 500s. Similar views, own private room and could bring your own food and alcohol. If a group of 5-6 people are willing to spend $200 USD each for crappy seats all the way up in the 500s, then you'd be better off just splitting the room. Obviously I'd prefer to watch the game from somewhere in the 100 or 200 level, or lower part of the 500 level around the infield.
  10. Thats a smart strategy. If you get a group of people and split the costs, it works out to be a lot cheaper than buying individual tickets. You'd have your own room, own alcohol, and washroom. Probably is worth it.
  11. Just curious, how much does it cost for a room with a ballpark view at the Renaissance Hotel? I'm sure they are quite expensive especially now during the postseason. Though it wouldn't be that bad considering if people are paying around $200 USD each for 500 level seats or more for 100/200 level outfields, get maybe a group of people together to split the cost of the room and you still get to watch the game, and even buy your own alcohol. I'm sure though rooms were already booked way in advance.
  12. October 1st could be a day more tickets are made available through the Blue Jays. I remember reading that Oct 1st will be the day ticket quantities are finalized by, so if people purchased more than 4 tickets for the same game, those tickets will be released. Could be wrong, though I think I read that somewhere today on Ticketmaster.
  13. I'd wait as you get closer to the date since this is the worst time to buy like you said. I don't see the average person paying close to $200-$300 USD to sit in the 500s. There are so many listings right now in that price range, it seems like everyone who got tickets are just listing them at crazy high prices. If many of those tickets don't move as we get closer to Game 1 of the ALDS, ticket prices will drop. I could see prices falling in the $100-$150 range for most 500s, maybe touching a bit higher if they are really good seats like around the infield and a couple of rows up. You can find single seats in the premium dugout for around $400-$500 USD right now, and I'm sure if people are patient as you get closer to game day, those will even come down in price. Regardless, people on the secondary market will still need to pay more than face value, though not by 4x to 5x.
  14. Seriously? Not this again. http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140618041855/epicrapbattlesofhistory/images/7/75/Gtfo.gif
  15. On StubHub there are tickets available for a luxury suite at $440 USD per person. Doesn't sound like that bad of a deal considering what other tickets are going for.
  16. Ah nice! During the regular season, its open to anyone on a first come first serve basis. Though for the postseason, you have a standing area reserved for you.
  17. Flight deck should be an awesome atmosphere! Did you specifically search for flight deck seats or did they just pop up when searching best available?
  18. Yankees have a MasterCard presale for postseason tickets tomorrow at 10 AM. Possible ALCS matchup for the Jays make it on through and if the Yankees make it past the Wildcard game and ALDS.
  19. I never got anything for two tickets/pairs when searching this morning at 10 AM. Singles were available, and I think thats the best bet if you hope in getting tickets for the ALCS or World Series. Don't bother searching for two seats at the beginning, because you'll be waiting all that time and afterwards they say nothing is available. I managed to get a single for Game 3 at like 11:15 AM (lucked out I guess). I was just refreshing my search every minute and then all of a sudden something popped up.
  20. At least you got your awesome mancave
  21. Ah not the end of the world. Their were some great pairs available like in Row 3 & 4 from when I checked. I'd rather sit there instead of like Row 30 something and be dry the entire game. Unless you plan on drinking 4-5 beers at the game, and even if you do I'm sure the lineups for beer in the 500 level will be crazy, so you'd be missing a lot of the game from lining up at the beer stands and I'm sure for the washrooms as well unless you have an amazing bladder. Worse case scenario if you want one beer, just down it in the concourse lol. I usually do my drinking pre and post game since buying beer at the dome is crazy expensive.
  22. Yeah there were a whole bunch, though they closed the "buy on map" feature since the high traffic volume. I managed to get Section 234 Row 1, nothing to lose. Hope they don't have to play a wildcard game though haha!
  23. I got a single in section 113A Row 26 for Game 1, two tickets for Game 2 in section 516 row 26 (though seats are scattered) and managed to get 1 ticket in 522 Row 16 like around 11:15 AM for Game 3. I actually found that purchasing the tickets on your phone worked better than on the actual computer. I still have two browsers open searching for Game 1 and Game 3 though they've been open since like 10 AM and still searching haha (doubt anything comes from it).
  24. Went to the game tonight and purchased a single ticket in the 500 level for $15 USD off StubHub around 7 PM, when most of the tickets in the 500s were listed at $30-$40 during the day. From what I saw, ticket prices were dropping drastically as you got closer to first pitch. The average price for a 500 level seat around 6:30 was still in high 20's, low 30's. Around 7 PM, I was seeing so many listings below $20, and I'm sure many tickets in the 100 level were dropping as well. If you can be patient and wait it out until the last minute, then you can scoop up seats close to face value or cheaper for the remaining regular season games. My close friend lives near the Rogers Centre, so I was able to get my tickets printed easily right after I bought them. There is the possibility that you could end up with nothing, yes. For the postseason, tickets will be higher than face value obviously, though for the prices people are listing 500's right now or any other seats, the prices will drop I'm sure closer to first pitch if those same people haven't moved their seats yet.
