  1. Would Spanky's add of G Christopher Gibson be illegal, since he still hasn't played a game in the NHL? I thought you couldn't add prospects from the waiver wire until after they make an appearance...
  2. FYI, a lot of people from the 905 do take public transit such as the GO Train or TTC to get downtown. So I guess people that live in the 416 should pay tolls when they take the QEW to Hamilton or the 400 when they go up to cottage country?
  3. I'm tired of seeing fake lame fans who have just joined this board over the last month, thinking they've been Blue Jays fans for the last 20-30 years!
  4. +1 San Diego seems like the team that would be dumb enough to acquire Jose Reyes.
  5. I completely agree, though thats the type of show they're expected to do. If I want something more serious, I'll tune into PTS or PTI.
  6. OHL hockey coverage
  7. Tim and Sid are entertaining and bring about good discussion on whats going on in sports. I don't take their analysis on baseball or other sports seriously, though they do put on a good show and I will tune in at times.
  8. Shi Davidi knows his stuff and is pretty knowledgable. I'd say he's probably the best Sportsnet has. Mike Wilner isn't that bad, though sometimes can be a Blue Jays homer. Overall, he is pretty rational though. Again, he had to deal with idiots calling him every night after a Blue Jays loss, which I'm sure a lot of veteran posters on here would have vented against haha. Zaun is watchable, though I don't take him seriously. Trying to be the Don Cherry of baseball. He provides some good insight on in-game stuff like certain plays etc, those his overall baseball analysis is lacking.
  9. Arash shouldn't even be close to a baseball field. How did that loser get a job at Sportsnet? Barry Davis is a tool. The guy is a midget and seems like a huge wanker!
  10. Its probably one of the worst in the world for a major metropolitan city. The MTA in NYC blows the TTC away. Subway takes you everywhere. Its so easy to get up to Yankees or Mets games with express trains (less than 20 mins from Grand Central). Even after the games are finished, they have extra express trains lined up to move people out of there. Think the TTC would ever think of something like that?
  11. TTC better not close service when there is a Jays postseason game on a weekend.
  12. The hoodies don't look that good anyways. Even the jerseys looked cheap from what I saw (names & numbers printed on rather than stitched/ironed on). Wouldn't have me lining up at 9 AM.
  13. Anyone getting tickets to see the Jays in Montreal? Presale for tickets go on sale today for Inside Pitch subscribers. The last two years games were sold out. I can't confirm if I could go 100% though if I bough pairs to both games today anyways, and couldn't end up making it, would they be easy to resell on StubHub?
  14. They've played some ALDS and NLDS games in the afternoons around 3-4 PM. MLB really hasn't played postseason games at the same time. If the Yankees make it through in the Wildcard and play the Royals, then they will get the prime time slot at 7 or 8 PM every night, thats a given. If the Blue Jays come in first in the AL and meet the Yankees in the ALDS, then for sure the games will be at 7 PM or 8 PM. If its Blue Jays vs. Texas, games will be played at 3 or 4 PM.
  15. Because there are so many tickets being made available with all similar high prices.
  16. Wish I was downtown tonight going to the game. Some great deals on Stubhub right now if anyone is close to downtown and thinking of getting last minute tickets on Stubhub - $40 USD each for Sec 128, row 19. Premium Dugout 117, row 20 - $60 USD. And today around 3 PM, the cheapest seat to get in the building was $45 and that was a 500 level nosebleed seat.
  17. Yeah they would be next to each other, so you're good!
  18. What the f*** is your problem? In the hockey thread you called me an ******* at 4 AM and send me a f***ing ridiculous email no reason? Is it because I said "Go Habs" earlier lol? What the hell did I do to offend you?
  19. I think if you're going to drop a pretty penny on tickets, I'd rather have that guarantee that StubHub or Vivid Seats offer. It will state when purchasing your tickets the row and the seat numbers. Unless you're buying 2 tickets in a block of 4 or 6 seats etc, you might not find out the exact seats until after the purchase, though your seats will be together regardless. Prices are quite high right now and like I said there are so many tickets available. You might be able to luck out and find a deal like burlingtonbandit did tonight on Stubhub for a cheap 100 level seat if you're checking every hour. Theres no harm in being patient and waiting closer to the date. Tickets that sellers don't move will come down in price as the date gets closer. If there was a limited market on Stubhub for tickets right now, then thats another story. I managed to grab a single for Game 1 in 113A, two scattered seats in 516 for Game 2 and another 500 level seat for Game 3 on the Blue Jays website. Also, I have a pair for one game per series via the person I bought my flex pack through, though I don't know which game yet I'll get. So I'll likely have some extra tickets available to sell for one of the games in the ALDS (possibly that pair I get) and for sure for Game 2.
  20. Probably, or even someone who bought tickets today. I don't think there are any instant download tickets available just yet.
  21. They just haven't made the tickets available for download yet, since I believe the Jays won't be doing so until October 1st or the date they know opponent/time they are playing etc. Ticket prices are pretty high right now, so its really up to you on how much you want to spend and where you want to sit. There are so many tickets available right now on StubHub and Vivid Seats, so I wouldn't panic. Plus, if you don't know your schedule and lets say can't make an afternoon game at 3 or 4 PM, then you don't want the hassle of reselling them & possibly losing some money.
  22. True, there are ways to make sure that you are buying from a legit person. I've sold tickets on Kijijji, never have bought. I've usually showed them proof of purchase without them asking in the first place, like through my MLSE account, to show them that they were legit. Still, if I'm purchasing an expensive ticket to an event, I'd want to have that reassurance that if anything does go wrong, I'm guaranteed a full refund.
  23. Since Stubhub is a marketplace for tickets, you can always resell your tickets if you can't make it. I called asking about the Yankees/Blue Jays game in NYC because of the weather and if a game got postponed to a later date that I couldn't make, they said I'd be able to re-list those seats on their site.
