  1. I'd wait as you get closer to the date since this is the worst time to buy like you said. I don't see the average person paying close to $200-$300 USD to sit in the 500s. There are so many listings right now in that price range, it seems like everyone who got tickets are just listing them at crazy high prices. If many of those tickets don't move as we get closer to Game 1 of the ALDS, ticket prices will drop. I could see prices falling in the $100-$150 range for most 500s, maybe touching a bit higher if they are really good seats like around the infield and a couple of rows up. You can find single seats in the premium dugout for around $400-$500 USD right now, and I'm sure if people are patient as you get closer to game day, those will even come down in price. Regardless, people on the secondary market will still need to pay more than face value, though not by 4x to 5x.
  2. Seriously? Not this again. http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140618041855/epicrapbattlesofhistory/images/7/75/Gtfo.gif
  3. On StubHub there are tickets available for a luxury suite at $440 USD per person. Doesn't sound like that bad of a deal considering what other tickets are going for.
  4. Ah nice! During the regular season, its open to anyone on a first come first serve basis. Though for the postseason, you have a standing area reserved for you.
  5. Flight deck should be an awesome atmosphere! Did you specifically search for flight deck seats or did they just pop up when searching best available?
  6. Yankees have a MasterCard presale for postseason tickets tomorrow at 10 AM. Possible ALCS matchup for the Jays make it on through and if the Yankees make it past the Wildcard game and ALDS.
  7. I never got anything for two tickets/pairs when searching this morning at 10 AM. Singles were available, and I think thats the best bet if you hope in getting tickets for the ALCS or World Series. Don't bother searching for two seats at the beginning, because you'll be waiting all that time and afterwards they say nothing is available. I managed to get a single for Game 3 at like 11:15 AM (lucked out I guess). I was just refreshing my search every minute and then all of a sudden something popped up.
  8. At least you got your awesome mancave
  9. Ah not the end of the world. Their were some great pairs available like in Row 3 & 4 from when I checked. I'd rather sit there instead of like Row 30 something and be dry the entire game. Unless you plan on drinking 4-5 beers at the game, and even if you do I'm sure the lineups for beer in the 500 level will be crazy, so you'd be missing a lot of the game from lining up at the beer stands and I'm sure for the washrooms as well unless you have an amazing bladder. Worse case scenario if you want one beer, just down it in the concourse lol. I usually do my drinking pre and post game since buying beer at the dome is crazy expensive.
  10. Yeah there were a whole bunch, though they closed the "buy on map" feature since the high traffic volume. I managed to get Section 234 Row 1, nothing to lose. Hope they don't have to play a wildcard game though haha!
  11. I got a single in section 113A Row 26 for Game 1, two tickets for Game 2 in section 516 row 26 (though seats are scattered) and managed to get 1 ticket in 522 Row 16 like around 11:15 AM for Game 3. I actually found that purchasing the tickets on your phone worked better than on the actual computer. I still have two browsers open searching for Game 1 and Game 3 though they've been open since like 10 AM and still searching haha (doubt anything comes from it).
  12. Went to the game tonight and purchased a single ticket in the 500 level for $15 USD off StubHub around 7 PM, when most of the tickets in the 500s were listed at $30-$40 during the day. From what I saw, ticket prices were dropping drastically as you got closer to first pitch. The average price for a 500 level seat around 6:30 was still in high 20's, low 30's. Around 7 PM, I was seeing so many listings below $20, and I'm sure many tickets in the 100 level were dropping as well. If you can be patient and wait it out until the last minute, then you can scoop up seats close to face value or cheaper for the remaining regular season games. My close friend lives near the Rogers Centre, so I was able to get my tickets printed easily right after I bought them. There is the possibility that you could end up with nothing, yes. For the postseason, tickets will be higher than face value obviously, though for the prices people are listing 500's right now or any other seats, the prices will drop I'm sure closer to first pitch if those same people haven't moved their seats yet.
  13. Haha who needs tickets for the postseason, when you have a man cave like that? Awesome!
  14. Nope, just picked up a new Majestic Blue Jays hoodie and got the 25% discount. As long as the item is regular priced, you're good! Jerseys, New ERA caps, t-shirts are all 25% off. So for those buying stuff down at the Rogers Centre, check out Sport Chek first. Limited selection for player jerseys (location I was at only had Tulo, Martin and their were a few of Price) and sizes were very limited for hoodies, jerseys, caps etc. Though if you purchase a different size/player jersey, you have 60 days to exchange it for the size/player jersey you want. I wanted to pick up a Josh Donaldson or Marcus Stroman jersey, though they had none - might head back tomorrow or check the one downtown at Maple Leaf Square tonight.
  15. For those interested in buying Blue Jays apparel, Sport Chek has a Friends & Family sale of 25% over the next two days.
  16. Yeah just checked and they are $54 face value on the Jays site for premium games. So I'd start the asking price at $150-$160. Thats how much the cheapest are going on Stubhub in those areas. Expecting $240 is unrealistic still.
  17. He won't get $240 for the pair lol. Could probably get $100-$120 for the pair which is a fair price and I'm sure they'd easily move.
  18. I'm not sure why all you new posters feel the need to be wacking each other off on how your postseason tickets are worth so much in this thread.
  19. Only paid $10 USD for yesterdays game. Applied a fan code as well, so it only came out to like $3 lol. Sat down in my friends section whose an usher and he was working the Club 200 which was sweet!
  20. Melker Karlsson
  21. Am I on the clock?
  22. I had my first claim on Karns, was hoping to grab him.
  23. I don't think I've ever been in a fantasy matchup that intense. Congrats on squeezing out the win Andrew and good luck next round!
