  1. The casuals who have never followed baseball until this August are just fuming because that means that they can't all get together Friday night before the game at Jack Astors after work to socialize and pretend they've been long time Blue Jays fans and go out right after the game at 10 PM to party.
  2. There's still going to be demand, no doubt. Just not as crazy as before. The market was already flooded with tickets that didn't move before this start time was announced and now people who can't make it now need to unload. I'm sure Friday morning you'll find some 500's for around $80-90 USD on StubHub.
  3. $80 CAD and $125 for down the baselines.
  4. Outfield corners like 113 and 130 are going for around $150 USD. That's pretty fair! Just $25 more than face value.
  5. Its high school. A simple doctors note or call from your parents will suffice.
  6. I might see if I could find a solid upgrade for premium infields on StubHub for Game 2, and then I'd just cash in my 500 level tickets.
  7. Yeah I don't see what the issue would be by playing two games at the same time slot (especially when we're talking about the Jays game where most viewership would come from Canada). It definitely sucks. Same how they made Game 1 for the Raptors the past two season at like 12:30 on Saturday afternoon. Awful time.
  8. Get MLBTV (only $3.99) and stream it on your computer or on your phone.
  9. TilsonBritoFan at work after hearing about the 12:37 PM start time and sudden drop in ticket prices for Game 2... http://gifsec.com/wp-content/uploads/GIF/2014/11/Raging-GIF.gif?gs=a
  10. Game 2 prices are going to drop. Should be able to get 500 levels for under $100/per seat.
  11. Cheapest for Game 3 is $160 USD and thats for standing room.
  12. That last home stand looked empty. As well, that huge series with the Jays in September, you would think Yankee Stadium would be rocking. It was like watching a Leafs game at the ACC.
  13. Yeah going there to catch the Jays in September, it was so easy to find cheap tickets on Stubhub or Vivid Seats. The stadium was mostly empty as well. Face value, Yankees tickets are way too expensive. There are so many tickets available on the secondary markets at like half the price.
  14. Yikes! Go Pirates then haha.
  15. Yeah a RT on Spirit, so leaving Saturday - Tuesday is $205. Delta is $336. Not bad. A lot cheaper than Pearson haha.
  16. I tried looking into using some of my points to fly down to Texas though you need to book your flight 14 days in advance ugh! Still a round trip into Dallas from Toronto is around $600, which isn't bad this last minute. I'd like to see a game down in Pittsburgh, or Chicago, if those teams and the Jays meet in the World Series. I'd probably even go down to NYC as well.
  17. Don't tell that to TilsonBritoFan
  18. Props for getting rid of them at that price! Last week was the time to sell. Doubt people get those types of prices anymore!
  19. I think any rational poster predicted that ticket prices wouldn't stay that high. It was ridiculous how some new posters who came on here saying tickets were going to go higher. Most of the 500 level tickets are in the low $100's right now, and I'm sure once the time is announced and if its in the afternoon, you'll be able to get into the building for $90-100. Also, I'm sure most 100 level seats will drop as well. For those people who panicked and bought 500 level seats for close to $200, huge mistake. There are so many tickets still available.
  20. Don't know why Justin Smoak isn't in there just for the first two innings...
  21. Sport Chek had a Family & Friends sale like last week, so everything was 25% off (which was the time to buy). Though, if you sign up for their e-mail newsletter, they will e-mail you a 10% off coupon which you'd be able to use. I doubt there are places cheaper, so Sport Chek seems like your best option. Plus they have a good price adjustment policy, up to 1 or 2 months I believe. Otherwise, I can't think of another sporting goods place that would be a good spot to get Jays jerseys. Maybe National Sports? I'd stick with Sport Chek.
  22. I've got a pair of 100 level outfields (Sec 137R). Send me a PM.
  23. The extra pair I'm getting for the ALDS is for Game 1 (137R, Row 10, Seats 5 & 6). I have a seat in 113A already. So I could either move the pair or single.
  24. Yeah I'm sure they asked Price before making a decision. He probably had a say in the final decision. If he wanted to pitch, I'm sure the Blue Jays would have let him. I'm not that huge of a fan with him getting 11 days off. Even just letting him pitch 4-5 innings or 70-80 pitches on Friday or Saturday would have been fine.
