  1. Wonder what I could get for Dexter Fowler and Shin-Soo Choo after seeing Calhoun get a late first. Both are on the market.
  2. Send me some trade proposals. -Vladimir Poutine
  3. It's a huge improvement!
  4. Putting in a waiver claim on him in the LOD.
  5. I really like this deal for Boxy. He made out pretty darn well. Getting both LoMo and Alonso to add some pop to his lineup, plus he got some intriguing arms in Cotton & Folty. BTS sold a lot of quality pieces and didn't get nowhere close to the value he should have got IMO.
  6. He signed with the Pads? Last I read the Cardinals are really interested in him.
  7. Many OF's still available. I think Shatkins is waiting out the market in comparison to freaking out early like last offseason. They went in panic mode and signed Morales to a 3 year deal near the beginning of the offseason, when they could have likely waited till January and get him on a 1-year deal especially when you consider what the market was for 1B/DH type of hitters last offseason. So many OF's still available on the market and I'm sure you can nab some guys on a reasonable one-year deal. Jay Bruce, Carlos Gonzalez, Curtis Granderson, Melky Cabrera, Carlos Gomez for example.

Would love to see the Bills make the playoffs!
  9. Cozart likely will be a 3B lol.
  10. Nobody wants him because of his $22M salary. Wasn't getting offered much.
  11. Trade question for a 30-team dynasty salary cap league: would you trade SP Jon Lester (22M) and C Logan Ice (prospect) for 1B Ryan Zimmerman (14M)? I think the days of Lester being elite are over, so paying $22M for a No.2-3 starter is kind of meh. Not sure I believe Zimmerman will repeat his 2017 again, though with him playing strictly as a 1B, I think he could stay healthy & put up some decent numbers again in the Nats lineup. Plus I would be saving 8M in salary. Your thoughts?
  12. You can thank me for getting the discussion started. This is how you shop a player.
  13. Escobar after 2002 was a solid SP.
  14. Wonder what Aroldis Chapman would have been like if Cincy decided to work him as a SP.
  15. Joba Chamberlain and Daniel Bard were duds when converted to starters. Trying to think of some recent arms that have been successful as SP's after pitching in relief: Aaron Sanchez in 2016, Chris Sale in 2012. Anyone else?
  16. Any thoughts on Lonnie Chisenhall for a corner outfield spot? Would be a nice bat IMO.
  17. No worries. You can drop Gibby. Thanks!
  18. It's the Marlins though haha
  19. So can he be re-added to my roster? Thanks.
  20. He had 60 games played before the start of this season. He should have been called up according to the prospect rules. So he should be fair game.
  21. Speaking of the Phillies, Cesar Hernandez has produced 7.6 WAR over the last two seasons. Couldn't believe it. Back to back years with an .OBP above .370 as well.
  22. No way he settles for 4/60. The Dexter Fowler contract last offseason is a benchmark for him. Doesn't get anything less than that IMO.
  23. BA prospect rankings are everything! All those 3 became great players right? No way the Cards are trading Reyes or Weaver, both who will contribute in 2018 at the MLB level just for one year of JD. Also, MLB players like Gyorko who is valuable in his own right as well.
  24. Bruce likely could hit 40 HR's playing half of his games at the RC and 18 games each in some of those hitting friendly AL East ballparks.
  25. Yeah but he has only 1 year left on his contract. Reyes or Weaver are young controllable arms with some nice upside, Gyorko is coming off a 2.5 WAR season, can play multiple positions & is under club control still until 2020 on a decent contract. Grichuk and Piscotty are meh though still can be decent OF options considering the Jays OF is pretty bad right now lol. I think St. Louis is likely the best fit in terms of a team that could put together a package for JD. Though if this was reversed, I'm sure many people would be saying on here that JD isn't worth that type of package unless he came with an extension. Look at when the Jays traded Halladay back in 2009 to the Phillies. He was the best pitcher in baseball at the time available on the trade market. Phillies even got an extension, and all the Jays got were Drabek, Taylor flipped for Wallace flipped for Gose, and d'Arnaud.
