The bullpen isn't a lights out bullpen. It seems like it was patched together with a bunch of middle tier arms. I still think Romano is and will be a solid closer, and Mayza looks like he'll be a solid LHP for them, but the rest are meh. Gotta hope Nate Pearson steps in and can be an elite setup guy right out of the gate.
As for the bench, it's awful. I wish the Jays did keep a LHB with some pop around to use a DH occasionally. So many were available and the Jays even had Tellez. Issue is when the Jays lose a starting player or two to the IL, the Jays can't be placing guys like Tapia, Zimmer etc., in the lineup everyday.
Seems like the Jays this offseason were more focused on shaping up the starting nine and rotation, and never gave attention to the end of the roster like the bench and bullpen.
