  1. Don't understand why some solid teams hire these old timers like Tony La Russa or Dusty Baker. They're negative assets to a team.
  2. Yeah they're even missing Baz and Patino as well this season. Would love to see what they could do over a full season. Add in Rasmussen and even Jeffrey Springs looks like he's for real. I love the Rays organization!
  3. He's been a stud so far. Imagine the Rays rotation with Tyler Glasnow healthy.
  4. If you're in town enjoying one Blue Jays game, get better seats and you won't regret. You can't go wrong with the 200 level. Best section in the ballpark IMO. Like Jay said, less lines at concessions, excellent views and great value. You won't regret it. 500 level, you'll be packed in like sardines and the view isn't that great at the Rogers Centre. You're too high up IMO. Not worth it and you won't enjoy it.
  5. 100% We'll have a better idea about the teams in September. Still a lot of season left.
  6. The Rays to the Jays are the equivalent to the Boston Bruins with the Leafs. They always give the Jays a tough time and in the Postseason they could be dangerous in a short series, especially at the Trop. Hope the Jays at least play the series at the Rogers Centre. Home field will be huge in that series especially. Would prefer playing the Twins in the Wildcard. As for Boston, I would be worried about them getting more calls going their way.
  7. Is Archer even a starting pitcher anymore? He's only logged 5 innings once this season and was taken out only after 57 pitches in his last outing, which was his deepest outing to date. I'm a frustrated owner.
  8. I really wouldn't want to play the Rays in a Best of 3 series.
  9. You can also try the WestJet Flight Deck if you're willing to stand all game and to stay in the shade. That whole concourse is open to everyone I believe. Stangstag made a good point. If the roof is open, you could be baking that day especially in the 500s. While the Canada Day game will be a loud atmosphere, the Dome will be crazy busy. Consider the lineups for concessions and washrooms. As well, during busy games I find more crazier fans who get drunk always sit up in the 500s. Otherwise, my favourite seating area now at Jays games are Club 200 around third base. Smaller sections, comfy seats, better views over the net, in the shade and 200 Level Concourse isn't as crazy as the 100 level or 500 level concourse when games are close to being sold out.
  10. How about George Knox? And they should have Joseph Gordon-Levitt attend every game sitting next to the dugout.
  11. Yeah he took a little longer than most bats, but I could see him having a killer June and second half. His numbers won't look like last season, but at the end of the day I think he's good for 25-30 HR's, 80-90 RBI with 20 SB's. In fantasy baseball, was a great buy low last week.
  12. Semien went 7 for 8 in the doubleheader today, with 4 runs scored, 3 HR, 3 RBI and 2 SB. 5 HR's in 7 June games thus far.
  13. Weren't we just talking about how much we love the Angels and how this is the year they make the Postseason? haha. Crazy how in the early going, things can turn around so quickly.
  14. Carlos Correa on the Covid-IL and likely will miss the series as well.
  15. Chicks dig the long ball
  16. I loved Keuchel in his days with the Astros. Was elite for a couple of seasons. I think he's done now, unless he catches on with an NL team and moves into a very pitcher friendly park.
  17. A lot of people do forget it's a long season, for both hitters and pitchers. If Berrios was like 34 or 35, would worry a bit, though he's still only 28. As long as he's healthy and there is no underlying health concern with his elbow or shoulder, I think he'll make the adjustments.
  18. Berrios is no ace, but can be a solid No. 2/3 with a little more jazz. Wish he could get his K/9 up and I wouldn't be too worried. If he can do what AJ Burnett did here over his contract, I'll be happy!
  19. Semien will be going on a huge hitting streak from this point forward. Will be one of the hottest hitters in baseball over the next 4 months.
  20. Man, the 2015 Postseason seems like such a long time ago. Also, very sad about Yordano Ventura. Tragic to see a lot of young pitchers die in accidents like him and Jose Fernandez all within that span of a couple of months.
  21. So if you went out to a bar tonight and wanted to watch some baseball, good chance they don't have Apple TV to show the Jays haha.
  22. This reminds me a lot like the 2008 Blue Jays team and how they kept giving so many AB's to players like Brad Wilkerson, Kevin Mench, and Shannon Stewart for the first three months of the season. The Jays have held onto Tapia and Zimmer for too long. It's time to make an upgrade, even if it means making a minor trade.
