    He's hit more HR's tonight in one game than Correa has hit total this season. Kind of funny how my trade in the LOD was met with such negative reaction at the time on how I made such an awful deal. The fact that some people thought Story was this bad and was finished at the age of 29, after the numbers he has put up throughout his career boggles my mind. Granted, its just one game haha, but he's coming around with the bat and I'm pretty confident he puts up very respectable numbers this season. It wouldn't surprise me if he even ranks ahead of Correa at seasons end.

    He needs to hit for a really high average in this league or else his low BB% will hurt. That would be my concern with him long term. Otherwise, I do love his power/speed and if he brings a .300+ average every season, no worries.

    Trevor Story 2 for 2 with 2 HR and 4 RBI tonight. Ah but he's finished at the age of 29 after a slow month and isn't that great of a hitter now since he's moved out of Coors!

    Moreno makes the most sense to move. Jansen and Kirk are already a solid combo behind the plate, both are still young, under club control and both still have some potential. If the Jays are aiming for a World Series in the next year or two, you want Jansen/Kirk behind the plate, not Moreno. As well, we have seen with some young catchers that they take time to start producing at the MLB level. Not every catching prospect is a Buster Posey, Wilson Contreras, Wil Smith, etc., that comes hitting right out of the gate + handle a pitching staff well. Also, Moreno holds the most value in trade to a team rebuilding, more than Jansen or Kirk. For the Blue Jays, Jansen and Kirk hold more value because they're trying to win a Championship.

    After his 2021 season, did you or any other Jays fan think he sucked? Granted, I think most realized he wasn't going to come close to repeating his 2021 season and there was going to be regression. Texas went all out and paid the guy a huge contract thinking they'll get the 2021 Semien every season, when in reality the Jays and other organizations knew they weren't going to get that production again. So yeah kind of glad the Jays did dodge a bullet. I know he's off to an awful start, but he'll figure it out. He'll probably finish with a .240 average, between 20-25 HR's and 70-80 RBI with a .750 OPS when all is said and done. I'm sure he'll have some seasons where he has an OPS above .800 with 30+ HR's once he settles in Texas.

    Doesn't make sense on trading BO when you're planning to contend for a World Series. As well, I'm sure if he was hitting well to start the season, nobody would even mention his name. It's just because he's off to a slow start lol. Maybe the Jays can move an outfielder like Lourdes Gurriel Jr. as a MLB piece in a deal, but don't think it makes sense to move BO.

    Guys like Soto, Acuna or Tatis are guys you would drain a farm system for if they ever became available.

    Soto is one of those guys you go after if you know you can lock him up long term. Having him and Vladdy anchoring this lineup for the next decade! Two of the top 5 players in baseball!

    I had an opportunity to trade Semien for Gasuman this offseason and turned it down. Regretting it big time now.

    He's on the Dodgers haha. I imagine on another team, he would be used as a back end of the rotation starter. Still kind of sad to see him fall so much from his days of being an elite starter. That 2015 season he was amazing!

    200 level at Rogers Centre is the best IMO. Don't have that stupid net as an obstruction, plus smaller level so less lines for washrooms and concessions. As well, some comfier seats if in the infield as well! TD area is sick as well, worth the extra bucks + a private entrance and private concessions and washrooms just for those sections!

    Agree with everything you said. I would say both the MLB and NHL have a very conservative fan and player base. NBA is very left wing out of them all for both players and fans. NFL is in the middle in terms of players, but I would say fans are more conservative/center and just want to be entertained instead of having politics injected into the game.

    That's if you trust the government to use that tax money in the right places, rather than blow it on projects or policies that benefit their friends and lobbyists. Ps. lets go for the sweep tomorrow! Go Jays!

    Wouldn't everyone benefit from lower taxes and less government oversight? Doesn't matter if you're rich or poor IMO.
