  1. It's just for the All-Star Game haha chill man!
  2. I could move Arenado. Feel free to put a package together of something.
  3. Should have edited and added "wish it wasn't with the Yankees!"
  4. His power numbers were very decent with the Cards. He did hit 36 HR in 2018 and before hit 28, 21 and 23 from 2015 to 2017 before he became a dumpster fire. 8 of his 13 home runs have come at Yankee Stadium, so he must love that short RF porch. Also, he's hit 2 HR's at Fenway. He must love hitting in the AL East. Yankee Stadium really suits his bat well. Regardless, I've always loved Matt Carpenter and it's great to see him resurrect his career like he has! Hope he keeps it up!
  5. Damn you Jay, had Matt Carpenter on my bench yesterday!!!!
  6. Corbin wouldn't be a bad depth arm to trade for who could eat up innings and has some good K numbers. Even Pete Walker might be able to help string together a solid last two months.
  7. Like the lineup. Love that Kirk is batting higher. Batting Vladdy second is great as well. And no Tapia which is so nice!
  8. Miss Gibby! Would love to see the Jays bring him back.

Samsonov is the perfect high reward signing. Still offers huge potential.

  11. Injuries in baseball do happen and you can't expect the entire lineup 1 through 9 to be healthy 100% time. The Jays lack of depth this season on the roster really hurt when guys were on the IL. Jansen missed significant time, and other guys like Teo, Gurriel and Springer have missed some time as well. Also, maybe one of Gurriel or Jansen are moved for an arm. Benintendi is also a LHB which is what the Blue Jays need. Like I said he isn't a perfect fit, but would be a nice fit if he can be acquired at a reasonable cost. Regardless, it's a moot point at the moment since it's very unlikely the Blue Jays could trade for Benintendi anyways unless certain policies change.
  12. Wouldn't say he's a "perfect fit" but he definitely would be a nice fit as a LHB who can hit at the top of the lineup and play outfield. Better than running out Tapia and Zimmer on a regular basis!
  13. He'll definitely land another job in baseball with an organization and could find himself another MLB managing opportunity a couple of years down the road perhaps.
  14. Another thing as well. He knew he had a weak bullpen. When a starter was rolling and had a good pitch count, he should have rode them an extra inning rather than taking them out after 5 or 6 innings. Again, the weak bullpen is on the FO, though Charlie should have understood and managed his roster accordingly.
  15. His lineup management was awful. As well, getting swept in Seattle was probably icing on the cake and shouldn't happen at this juncture in the season. I don't blame him completely for the Blue Jays this season, but he definitely holds some blame and the manager is always the scapegoat. Definitely more blame lays on the Front Office and the players. Atkins had to do something. If this Blue Jays team misses the Postseason, he likely is gone at the end of the season as well. The Blue Jays had high expectations this season and were even considered one of the favourites for a World Series. Like Omar said, will be interesting to see how the lineup is managed now.
  16. Did a couple three game parlays and got screwed. I bet the Rays and Braves (wouldn't say they were upsets though).
  17. Yankees almost got out of that jam. Wandy Peralta got two weak infield grounders and on the first one they had a chance at the double play but Trevino juggled the ball on the release. He left a high pitch out of the zone for India and he just reached out and poked it to right field.
  18. Open to shaking things up in this league and in BORED as well in terms of trades. So fair value swaps. Don't think either of my teams are elite and unless I get lucky in a playoff matchup, don't see myself going far. But definitely open to shaking things up.
  19. Damn, was getting killed 13-0 I think by the True Cardinals at one point during the weekend. I'll take the 7-7 tie after the start I had.
  20. I bet money on Tampa tonight! Beautiful!
  21. It does feel a lot like Clemens. Man I miss the days of watching Roger Clemens in a Jays uniform. Those two seasons he was here were unreal! One of the best arms in baseball!
  22. Should have bet them last night with Quintana pitching. They were paying good odds.
  23. You do know sometimes it's alright to question these "highly trained professionals" not just in baseball but other professions as well? There are highly trained professionals in many occupations, though it doesn't mean they are 100% correct all the time. They should be criticized when results aren't happening.
