  1. Mariners up 6-0 on Cole and the Yankees. Wow!
  2. OneDrive > Tim and Friends
  3. Cool interview. Even Josh Towers knows the Rockies organization sucks haha.
  4. Yup. I'm not losing sleep over his long term potential because he was traded, though he was a nice arm to have around for depth. Wish they could have traded another arm who wasn't at the MLB level, but oh well.
  5. Yeah fingers crossed. Just need to get to the Postseason right now and the top of this rotation is good enough in a short series. If Kikuchi implodes or the Jays lose one of Gausman, Manoah or Berrios for an extended period, things could definitely spiral out of control quickly.
  6. Wishing you all the best. You're going from the best state and place on Earth to one of the worst now haha.
  7. Lets bring back Kyle Drabek as well while we're at it!
  8. Jharel Cotton was a recent DFA.
  9. Great! So just keep your opinions to yourself on the whole COVID and vaccine issue. Still can't believe this is still a major issue. Move on!
  10. Are you serious with this post? Buddy just keep it to baseball.
  11. He will jump into the rotation. Who else do the Blue Jays have lmao? This is why Mitch White was brought in.
  12. This is why it was important acquiring another SP at the deadline. Mitch White will fill in nicely for Stripling, but now have to hope Kikuchi doesn't implode and the Jays big three of Gausman, Manoah and Berrios stay healthy or else things could get ugly. Lack of depth in the rotation is worrisome.
  13. Yeah I was thinking the same. I don't think he was in attendance during the festivities. I suspect he had been sick for a while and wanted to keep everything quiet.
  14. If Whitt Merrifield hits a walk-off HR in the World Series or steals home, I'm sure he'll easily forget about it haha.
  15. I'm sure many posters on here don't care what you think about the issue. If you think they're morons, just keep it to yourself. Keep it baseball related and don't make it personal. Not sure why you care about what others do with their own bodies anyways.
  16. The Blue Jays made the trades they needed to make in order to upgrade the roster, though I agree it would have been nice adding an impact SP like Rodon, Cobb, or Castillo or another impact BP arm if they could have.
  17. He didn't "need" to do anything while he was still playing in the US though. Since he was traded to the Blue Jays yesterday, I hope he'll be able to play home games here and everything does get resolved. Obviously the Blue Jays front office knows more than we do and wouldn't have acquired him if they knew crossing the border would be an issue. So IMO this topic about whether or not he'll be allowed to play here is dead. I don't get why some posters on here vilify certain players when they find out about a certain medical decision they made though. Same thing with Goldschmidt and Arenado a couple of weeks ago when they couldn't play here. Before, people on this board were glorifying Paul Goldschmidt and the MVP type season he was having. After when it was known that he wasn't allowed to travel to Canada, some posters called him an idiot or made him sound like a crazy anti-vaxxer. In respect to Merrifield, I'm sure everything will be sorted out and he'll be playing games in Toronto. Or else Atkins wouldn't have traded for him.
  18. Sign him to a minor league deal and have him in Buffalo as insurance. Wouldn't be a bad idea. I would like to see a team give him a long look as a reliever. Think his stuff can play out there.
  19. Last time I checked, Merrifield was ready to play 162 games with KC. He doesn't control what the Canadian Federal Government does at the border. Now being on Toronto, hope everything is resolved now for obvious reasons.
  20. What was stopping him from doing his entire job before? Was there anything in the contract he signed?
  21. Yikes that long ago? I was way off haha.
  22. I made that post before Toronto made those last minute deals at the deadline for Merrifield and White. As well, I said the Bass and Pop were solid adds for the Blue Jays. Mahle is a significant improvement to this rotation if the Blue Jays were able to acquire him. He was a solid No. 2 or 3. Like you even said, would have been nice to add an impact arm like Rodon or Mahle or Cobb if the Jays could have.
  23. I think his last season was 2019 or 2020 if I'm not mistaken.
  24. Mahle though is a better arm than Mitch White. Mahle has the potential to be a solid No. 2 or 3 in a rotation. 210 K's last season in 180 innings and is only 27 still.
