  1. Geez man get a sense of humour. Stripling with the Dodgers was always a decent back-end starter who could work between the rotation and bullpen and provide a team with rotation depth if someone went down and not hurt the team by being in the rotation for a month or two. He definitely has earned the opportunity to be a full time starter moving forward after the season he is having. Don't make it seem like Atkins pulled a miracle by trading for the guy. I'm all for giving him a reasonable extension for 2-3 years as a No. 4 or 5 starter, though nothing crazy. I bet if Stripling was on another team, you would be saying his season has been a fluke thus far. Your Mike Wilner homer side is showing well yet again!

Yeah like you said, even if you scrap cable which most have, you're probably paying more if you have subscriptions to all these streaming services. Android Box is a good substitution for cable. Just need to buy the box and it's $15 per month and you get pretty much every single channel worldwide almost haha. I only have Netflix, Prime Video (because of my yearly Prime Membership), Paramount + (for South Park and only $5.99 per month and there is a lot of other content), MLB TV and a yearly subscription to Sportsnet Now (in order to watch Blue Jays games). I'm thinking of getting rid of MLB TV for next season since Blue Jays games are blacked out anyways, and Sportsnet also airs Yankees/Red Sox games or some late night west coast Dodgers games. As a Browns season ticket holder, there are some perks. Have free access to NFL Red Zone and NFL + and a free Madden 23 download haha. Gotta look into them. I'm sure I get special perks as well with Bills season tickets, have to check.

Yeah definitely can pay for gas money haha. It's easy to make a day trip out of it for Buffalo. For Cleveland would have to stay overnight most likely, make it a weekend. Only was is if it's a Sunday 1PM game, leave really early Sunday morning and come back later that night, though that's a lot of driving just for one game haha.

You gotta hope that pub has an Amazon Prime Membership haha.

Plan every season is to go to 1 or 2 games in Cleveland and sell the remaining games. Make a weekend out of it. Would be nice if I could pair a Guardians game one weekend as well. Probably would go to 3-4 Bills games since they're closer. Browns and Bills season seats are very reasonable especially for upper bowls. With Cleveland, was able to sell all my games last season above my cost. First year with Bills tickets, so we'll see how they work out. If the Bills ever hosted KC or Tennessee in the Playoffs, that would be sick!

I'm an Amazon Prime Member though that's ridiculous. These streaming services are starting to get into sports now like Apple TV and YouTube with baseball. It's annoying.

Also, have Browns season tickets as well haha. Sec 535, Row 26. Third year I've had them.
  8. Told ya it was a great day to bet huge money on the Jays haha.
  9. He must have been high during that interview.
  10. Bet the Jays huge on Bet 365!
  11. A lot of people have written off the White Sox. Yesterday I was saying to myself, I wouldn't forget about them. They're 61-56 and 1.0 GB of the Division and Wildcard. They've been playing better baseball lately, 7-3 in their last 10. They have a solid rotation (Cease, Kopech, Cueto, and Gialito) and a very good bullpen lead by one of the best closers in baseball. Their lineup has greatly underachieved, more than the Blue Jays. Losing Anderson is a blow, but they got Jimenez back. I think they could still win the AL Central or even grab one of the Wildcard spots. I wouldn't count them out.
  12. One day wildcard matchups for the playoffs!
  13. One of the few posts I actually agree with you on!
  14. If Anderson was on the Blue Jays, you would be hailing him as the next great Pete Walker reclamation project. How about Manoah and his innings? Heaney is injury prone, though he's still been more effective than Kikuchi haha who isn't even lasting 4 innings. Does the Dodgers highest payroll have anything to do with their pitching depth? Has more to do with their main roster pieces. Outside of Kershaw, the rest of the starters like Urias, Buehler, May, Gonsolin, Anderson and Healey aren't costing a lot at all. Price is a different story since they took on his bad contract to get Betts, but he isn't even in the conversation for pitching depth. Dodgers could very well fall short in the Postseason again. Teams like the Mets and Braves in the NL could pose a challenge for them. Though the Dodgers have built a roster perfect for 162 games and they should be in a good position to go far into the Postseason if Kershaw gets back and May returns to elite form.
  15. And what makes you have faith in Berrios, Stripling, White or Kikuchi? Or even Manoah who has never pitched in the Postseason before?
  16. Rays have been the better team so far this season, even with a mediocre roster. On paper, I take the Blue Jays for sure, though the Rays are always a thorn in the Jays side. Rays still have a solid rotation with McClanahan, Springs, Rasmussen and Kluber. Also, give them the edge in the bullpen. Cleveland just won a series against the Blue Jays. Bieber and McKenzie are still a pretty good #1-2 along with Quantrill as a No. 3. Rotation is a wash IMO, though if Berrios get back on track I'll give the edge to the Jays. Cleveland's bullpen has the edge. Lineup wise, agreed I'll take the Blue Jays. If the Blue Jays are playing better baseball, I would move them ahead of Cleveland.
  17. The power of Zeus!
  18. Where is Brownie19? I want to hear his post-game analysis haha.
  19. The aircraft the Blue Jays fly on park at North Lounge on Derry Road. They don't go through the same nightmare regular passengers go through at Pearson. CBSA officers drive and clear them on the plane before the deboard.
  20. The Jays are missing a John McDonald or Reed Johnson type player. Bring them both out of retirement.
  21. They ended up beating the Yankees. You gotta love Rays baseball!
  22. That "not good roster" is ahead of the Blue Jays in the standings though lmao. Even without Baz and Glasnow, McClanahan + Springs + Rasmussen + Kluber is a great rotation in the Postseason.
  23. That's what great organizations do. They buy low and roll the dice on players with previous success. Gallo was a great under the radar pickup for them.
  24. Rays have won two games already against the Yankees and are ahead of the Blue Jays in the Wildcard. So far they've played better than the Blue Jays based on the standings and like you said on paper their roster is mediocre. Though they still always manage to be a thorn in the side for the Blue Jays and in the AL East, even with a mediocre roster. On paper I take the Blue Jays roster, though my gut feeling inside says the Rays beat them in a 3-game Wildcard series, especially with the way the Blue Jays are playing right now. Rays have an edge in the rotation and bullpen IMO.
  25. He's probably packed it in and just finishing out the remaining of his contract. I bet he retires after this season. He's won a World Series in 2018, he knows he's no longer an elite workhorse like he was, and he's probably enjoying the California lifestyle and beaches. He's not even used in high-leverage situations out of the bullpen. Not a bad gig for making $32 million (16M owed by Boston) haha.
