    I understand NBA contracts are crazy high AAV because yeah you only have 5 starters on the floor and usually maybe your 6th or 7th best player make some good coin as well. Every year its like inflation. Like looking back now, signing Pascal Siakam at 4 years/$136M wasn't all that bad given the increase in players salaries every year. If VanVleet is worth $40M per season, how much is someone like Jokic worth?

    I was watching the 9th inning last night. Wander Franco made a beautiful diving stop and throw for the first out in the bottom of the 9th. Doubt many other shortstops would have got to it. Hope the D'backs can win the series today, but its an ugly pitching matchup lol.

    LMAO he ain't worth $40M per season. It's a short term deal which is the only plus. I love VanVleet and everything he did with the Raps! Wish him all the best obviously. But it was clear this past season he wasn't the same player, declining and injury prone.

    If Marlins make the Postseason and if Arraez hits close to .400, he'll definitely get votes and be top 3. If he hits .400 then damn I think you'll have a lot of voters choose him. Right now, Acuna and Carroll are the two front runners. It's close, but I give the slight edge to Acuna right now if the season ended today.

    Still over 3 months left of the season. If there is a team that I think regresses or slips, would be the Yankees especially if Judge is gone until August. Their lineup isn't that scary without him and it's not like the Yankees have elite pitching after Cole. They're getting Rodon back but who knows which version they get of him and if he's 100%. If they hang around until Judge gets back, then they should be fine. Though hopefully they can lose some ground in the WC standings. I would love to see the Angels make it in for entertainment purposes. They could also get stuck in a rut and lose 7 of 10 or 8 of 10 and fall out of it. Hopefully they could add another top SP at the deadline or big piece. Rangers likely will have to fight hard to hang onto the division. Angels/Astros could challenge them possibly.

    Jays always do well against aces. I remember they beat Strider this season at the dome. Hopefully they can get to Webb tomorrow. Annoying though that someone like Alex Wood shuts them down, but tomorrow they probably score 3-4 runs off Webb and win 5-3 haha.

    Yeah for sure he would still be productive, but not worth $500-600M then.

    Hopefully the Jays could take the other two games, but Giants going with Webb tomorrow and another TBD for Thursday.
