  1. Yeah or 3 years/40M isn't that bad if you want a shorter term and increase the AAV a bit.
  2. Braves gave Murphy a 6 year, $73M extension. Jansen won't get that much IMO. Probably could extend Jansen around 4 years/50 million. I don't think it would be too difficult.
  3. I'll go with Varsho
  4. They probably could still sign him to a similar type of extension or for maybe more AAV.
  5. Yeah players have hot and cold streaks. Overall he's still been a solid bat for them - 10 HR's, 39 RBI, 122 wRC+ and a 1.2 WAR through 59 games. I've never seen former Jays players get so much attention before after a trade haha. It's like every week we have a Moreno and Gurriel update. If Moreno or Gurriel go on a hot streak, watch some posters come on here start complaining again how it was an awful trade haha.
  6. The pitcher would have been granted an out correct? So 0.1 innings of work don't count haha.
  7. If you bet Freeman to get one hit in the game, you gotta thank Roberts for that haha.
  8. You're going to be called out for cherry picking now!
  9. June 16 Bichette - 1 Point Varsho - 2 Points Springer - 2 Points Vladdy - 3 Points - wilko Chapman - 3 Points Jansen - 3 Points Kirk - 4 Points - JaysAllMighty Merrifield - 6 Points - Jonn, Jaysblue Espinal - 7 Points Off the bench: 10 Points - John_Havok
  10. Lmao look whose talking. One day you were calling the Varsho trade a possible mistake, and the next day you were saying it's actually looking good. Talk about playing both sides.
  11. Haha I'm Public Enemy No. 1 now on this message board for some reason because Brownie and Stangstag love raising their pitch forks when you're critical of this team. They're on Mike Wilner level x1000000000. Regardless, I'm not a complainer or troll who bombards the GDT's with negative or glooming outlooks. I'm actually pretty rational and yes give this team props when deserved but also critical on some of their mistakes or failures. Overall this Blue Jays team can be playing better, there are no excuses. I'm sure if the Jays were in first place right now, Brownie and Stangstag would be on cloud nine and there wouldn't be as much to criticize, so everyone for the most part would get along haha.
  12. It's just some posters like Brownie and Stangstag are such huge homers who get all pissy when you criticize or question anything this front office has done. They come up with excuses all the time. Thanks for answering that question and being honest though with that response. At the end of the day a winning Blue Jays team means a happier BJMB. Lets hope they can go on a run.
  13. Nah you'll still come up with lame excuses saying it was bad luck and they should have won this game or series if this or that didn't happen. You're insufferable!
  14. It's only a one or two year deal geez man, Jays aren't signing KK to a 3 or 4 year deal. You're overreacting.
  15. LMAO geez crazy how you think KK is all of a sudden going to fall off a cliff. A lot of his value is tied to his defense. Even if he hits .250/.300/.350 like I said, he can post a 2 WAR season. I guess you were okay giving Bassitt 60M over three years!
  16. Yeah I think that's fair for both sides. Unless another team offers him more money and years, though doubt it.
  17. Yeah Revere was a starter here, shouldn't have included him. It was a decent bench and a lot of guys like Collabello and Goins worked their way into the starting lineup after because Collabello was hitting well and Goins because of the Devon Travis injury. On paper this season, I thought the bench looked solid as well but geez some these guys turned into pumpkins.
  18. Agreed. The way this team has played, I'm not getting my hopes up as well. Take one game at a time and hope they can win each series. Rangers will be tough, Marlins as well. Giants won't be a walkover at home. Hope they can go on a nice run before the All-Star Break.
  19. If the Jays fail to capitalize on what is considered a "weak schedule" coming up, what excuse will you use next?
  20. Haha. At least you're rational Jay. Geez I suggest resigning KK if the term and AAV are reasonable and I'm getting attacked with pitch forks from my two favourite posters! And I thought they were huge homers!
  21. LMAO, how much do you think he's going to demand? 2/$20M or 2/$25M is pretty fair for a outfielder who's floor is around 2 WAR and could play excellent defense in CF.
  22. Can't even have a discussion or argue with you because you're such an obnoxious person.
  23. Haha you don't have any faith in the Jays new high performance department that everyone raves about? Geez you're so negative! You're such a buffoon if you think KK can never have another 2 WAR season moving forward. A lot of his value is tied to his defense. Any offense is a plus. Even last season only playing 63 games he posted a 1.1 WAR. In 2021, despite a .259/.328/.388 slashline and 390 PA in 122 games, he posted a 2.5 WAR. Smarten up dude!
  24. He was used in a platoon with Smoak at the beginning and then started playing more because of his bat. A lot of bench/platoon pieces do end up playing afterwards or starting if someone sucks or gets injured. That's a testament to building strong depth to begin with you buffoon.
