As much as I like Bassitt, I never felt good about him getting paid that much given his age. Feels like an overpay for me by the Jays, but lets just hope he can be a 2 WAR pitcher every season.

Man do I miss Carlos Delgado. He had some really good seasons with the Jays and was consistent year to year! Hopefully Vlad could get out of his rut and just be a consistent 30-40 HR bat with strong batting lines.

Wish some of those rookies in 2002 like Hinske and Phelps went on to have big careers with the Jays. Sucks they both kind of just fell flat afterwards. Hinske was still somewhat decent as a platoon guy but Phelps just was useless afterwards.

Yes, even with the Orioles and Rangers, its hilarious how they've been crapped on this season, yet they're both ahead of the Blue Jays in the standings. Yeah because the posters saying that about the Rangers and Orioles are huge Jays homers. It's ironic how if the Jays were playing as well as the Orioles and Rangers, those same posters would be on cloud nine thinking it was legit, yet when the Orioles or Rangers are playing well, nah they're awful and they suck. But when the Blue Jays are playing awful, nah its still early and just bad luck or its been a tough schedule!

No hard feelings or grudges against Max Silver and Brownie. They seem like nice guys. I might disagree with them on some things baseball related but that's part of being on a message board. Max Silver is an ultimate cherry picker and Brownie is an ultimate homer. Saying it as it is. My thoughts on the Blue Jays have been sour over the last couple of weeks and for obvious reason. This team has been frustrating to watch given the talent and expectations set on this team at the beginning of the year. As a fan, yeah I'm upset this team hasn't been better. We all were sold this team was a World Series contender and they haven't played like one yet. I am critical of some of the decisions made by the FO over the years and as well as certain players. At the same time I've praised many decisions made by the FO and have praised many players as well. My criticisms have been rational and I'm not a poster who trolls in the GDT's complaining nonstop 24/7. Though I'm treated that way for some reason. Regardless, if the Jays are winning and playing better, there are probably less fights and disagreements on here. At the end of the day, we all want the Jays to succeed and win a World Series, so we're all on the same team. I'm sick of posters trying to show up other posters by trying to prove they were right/wrong (e.g. with the Moreno/Varsho trade etc). Glad the Jays took 2 of 3 against the Marlins and hope they can get on a nice roll before the All-Star break! Go Jays Go!

I'm busting his chops geez. Manoah likely will come back as a No. 3 starter at some point when he figures things out, whether its later this season or next. I know Vlad isn't this bad and still has time to turn it around at 24. Hopefully he starts to hit for more pop or else he's just a Lyle Overbay/James Loney type of bat. Chapman is a solid player and likely will get a contract close to $200 million as a free agent. He should still be good for 4-5 WAR this season.

This is one of the best FO's in baseball. Ross Atkins is a genius and will turn this ship around. The Jays have a winning record under John Schneider, so why would they fire him? This FO put together a World Series contender and they're going to start playing like one at some point! It's still early so a lot of time to turn things around. It's only the first day of summer and we have 3+ months of baseball left to played. With a super easy schedule the rest of the way, this Blue Jays team will make up some ground and win the division.

Manoah was an ace last season. He's too young and too good to be this awful. He's coming back as the Jays No. 1 starter in no time. Chapman is going to get a $200M contract this offseason. He's a former 6 WAR player. Vladdy will reach a 150 wRC+ by the end of the season. He's one of the best young talented hitters in the game and is only two years removed from his 2021 season. Jays better lock him up now for $300 million!
