  1. I'm open to shaking things up so send me offers.
  2. He's looking more like Eric Hinske out there now with the bat.
  3. Jays are stuck in limbo with Vladdy. Can't really trade him since his value is at its lowest and can't sign him to an extension since he's been awful this season and meh in 2022. Pretty much have to go year-to-year with him in 2024 and 2025 in hopes he can have at least another monster season before he becomes a FA. Will suck because if he has a monster season in 2024 or 2025, he's gone as a FA signing a monster deal.
  4. Metafour can't control himself after reading what the Sheriff just wrote.
  5. All comes down to some core players on this team actually performing - Springer, Vlad, Varsho, and Kirk. Pitching wise if healthy, the Jays are good down the stretch and in the Postseason. I agree it's better to go with a 5-man rotation now and send Manoah back down to the minors. Can't be wasting or throwing games on him anymore. Better rolling with Ryu in the rotation. Bullpen wise, once Romano and Green come back, that bullpen definitely looks great on paper. I'm really liking Cabrera as a sleeper guy as well. Would rather play the Twins in the WC matchup instead of the Astros or Rays. Also, would rather go through the Rangers in the ALDS like you said. All the Jays need to do is to stay healthy, play good baseball down the stretch, and hope some of their core players figure it out in time for the Postseason. Have to play these games still, so hopefully they don't pull the foot off the gas! Keep rolling!
  6. Think he's having one of the best ever MLB seasons in history? Definitely has to be up there IMO.

If anyone wants tickets for the Bills exhibition game vs. the Colts this Sunday, shoot me a message.
  8. Would love to Schneider pull an Aaron Boone haha
  9. Yeah my concern in the Postseason is the lineup and maybe the back-end of the bullpen since Romano is out and looks like Green will be delayed a bit longer now. But hopefully the Jays can have both ready by October. Pitching wise, I'm confident with Gausman, Berrios, Bassitt in a WC series and one of Kikuchi, Ryu, Manoah as a No. 4 starter in a longer series if needed. Like you said, hope the team can stay mainly healthy until then, play consistently and hope some players in the lineup can improve.
  10. I mean, it's pretty easy to be in Wildcard contention these days given the expanded Postseason format. But yeah this team could be so much better if guys like Vlad, Springer, Manoah, Varsho and Kirk were producing to their expectations. We might even be talking about the division right now given Tampa's struggles. Lets hope the Jays get hot at the right time in September and carry that into the Postseason!
  11. Yeah agreed, I don't want to look at the past anymore. Whether the Jays were 100-0, doesn't matter. What matters is this team plays good baseball moving forward and if they do, they should secure a WC spot and hopefully win a series or two or even more during the Postseason.
  12. Nope, just saying that you can't always use the excuse "it's still early" (mostly Blue Jays apologists). Those missed opportunities could come back to bite this team at the end of the season if they miss out by a game or two. It did in 2021. I don't understand what is so controversial in saying that.
  13. Lmao you and other homers always apply "Coulda-shoulda" logic to your arguments as well when the Jays struggle. Oh if the Jays were .500 or better against the Orioles and Red Sox, they would have been at this record and sitting how many games ahead. Varsho hitting .316 over his last seven games - his awful start to the season was just a mirage!
  14. August 10 (1:10pm) Vladdy - 1 Point - Springer - 2 Points - Omar Belt - 3 Points - Chapman - 3 Points - Jansen - 3 Points - Merrifield - 4 Points - WryNGinger, Jonn Schneider - 6 Points - Lukes - 7 Points - Espinal - 8 Points - JaysAllMighty, JaysBlue Off the bench: 10 Points -
  15. I should have made that statement in my original response because I knew one of you would have responded back with that haha. Yeah obviously even the best teams lose winnable games or series, not just the Blue Jays. They were a frustrating team to watch at times this season given some of the games or series they played. Sure they can't win every game or series. The team definitely could have played better given the talent they have on the roster. Banking wins early though is important to an extent. Look at the Rays for example. They've been awful since the beginning of July yet they are still 69-47 and still only 2.0 GB vs. an extremely hot Orioles team. They're 12-19 since July 1st and that's even with a lot of significant injuries from even before. Jays are 20-13 since July 1st and are still 4.0 GB of Tampa and in the third WC spot. If the Jays were 12-19 instead let's say, they would be 57-57 right now at .500 and out of a WC spot. Just showing you that when you bank wins early, even after how awful Tampa has played, they're still the AL WC leaders and only 2 GB behind the Orioles. A team like the Jays can't afford to go on a cold streak like that at this point in the season or else their Postseason hopes are gone.
  16. Lmao I know I would trigger one of you homers! Nope was referring to more of the games and opportunities they blew. As well, going 0-7 or whatever to start against the Red Sox and their awful start against the Orioles. As well, we can throw a useless Manoah in there. It's nice we aren't hearing the "it's still early" phrase anymore though. Just saying a lot of winnable games this team didn't take advantage of, could hurt them if they miss out by one or two games at the end of the season. Hope we don't have another 2021 on our hands again.
  17. WC3 I think is the best spot, since the Jays get to face the Twins in the first WC round. Would rather face the Twins or Guardians instead of the Rays/Astros for sure. Mariners starting to heat up now which is worrisome. WC race should go down to the wire. That's why every game counts and even games in May or June where posters were saying "it's still early" could come and bite this team if they miss by a game or two.
  18. A win is a win, but yeah this lineup has been awful given the star power it has.
  19. Vladdy kind of reminds me of Eric Hinske.
  20. Yup front office definitely did a great job addressing the team defensively. Kudos to Atkins and company. Pitching wise, Berrios and Kikuchi have rebounded nicely, Gausman still a stud, Bassitt has been a solid mid-rotation innings eater. Bullpen has been solid as well, despite some blown games. Still need an elite reliever IMO for the Postseason. Looking like Cabrera could be something special and let's hope Green gets back, along with Romano.
  21. Vladdy is probably the biggest disappointment overall this season. If he was close to his 2021 level or heck even 2022, Jays are likely in a better position. There isn't much you can do with Vlad now. Have to go year-to-year and hope he has a huge bounceback in 2024 or 2025. Can't sign him to an extension. Trading him doesn't make sense since you would be trading him at his lowest value, unless you get someone with the same amount of upside/years left. Watch him have a huge season in his FA year.
  22. I guess maybe he thinks it's rubbing off on Vladdy, Kirk and Manoah, I don't know.
  23. And drink and eat McDonalds.
