    Yeah I said a couple of weeks ago when criticizing Atkins and this FO that they could have done a better job at improving the defense without sacrificing that much offense. Yet I was attacked by even suggesting that.

    It didn't work. We're talking about a 0-0 game in the 4th inning, not a 0-0 game in the 7th. My question is even if the Jays won this game or heck won in extra innings, which arms would be available tomorrow?

    I think Shapiro is pretty much in control of this roster and everything in terms of baseball ops. He's not just a guy doing renovations. Atkins I believe is probably a puppet as well. That's why AA didn't want to stay. He wanted to do his job and not have someone else overlooking or calling the shots

    At least under AA, this team came within striking distance of a World Series. We haven't even got a single Postseason win under Shapiro/Atkins.

    I wish I didn't have to say it as well, but those are the facts man. His tenure has been mediocre to date and the window keeps getting smaller. Serious changes need to be made this offseason.

    The plus with this loss, as much as I hate seeing the Jays getting eliminated, likely means serious changes will be made. Starting with Atkins and some of the coaching staff. This FO while having done great things has been mediocre. So far under Atkins, Jays haven't won a Postseason game.
