  1. Grant Taylor I remember was pretty good out of the pen last season.
  2. Yeah I also believe the Jays weren't too interested in bringing him back unless it was on their terms (moving to second base and not crazy AAV). If they really wanted to bring Bo back, he would have been signed in November.
  3. Would be an interesting study or review over the last 2 or so decades. Some top guys seem to succeed. Look at Gausman when he came to Toronto or even when Donaldson was traded to the Jays. But yeah there are players who also struggle in their first year on a new team.
  4. Dodgers are also 4-2 and have been struggling offensively as a group just like the Jays. It's still early and there is no need to hit the panic button. Ohtani, the 2025 NL MVP Champ, also has 0 HR and 0 RBI so far in 6 games.
  5. I'll go with Heineman.
  6. It was pretty ugly. They were kicking the ball around all over the place.
  7. Even Kurtz missed a big challenge which would have been ball 4 for him, instead of strike 3. Thought he was asleep not challenging that in that critical moment late in the game.
  8. Jordan Romano with two appearances in the 9th inning. Picked up the save on Opening Day and pitched a clean 9th last night with 2 K's. Nice to see! Hopefully he could also have a bounce back season for the Angels!
  9. Impressed with Rogers in the 8th as well. Looks like he's going to be a nice late inning weapon out of the pen this season!
  10. Bottom of the lineup came up huge. Great seeing Okamoto making an impact in his first game. Clement and Gimenez as well with big hits! Definitely a nail biting win!
  11. Last year Jays were great value. I remember Term earlier in the offseason floating that idea. Jays were 70 to 1 back in November 2024. Imagine what they were when they started off poorly last April? At 17 to 1, not sure it's worth keeping your money tied up for that long. You're better off betting the Jays during the season or wait if they get off to a slow start, the odds will be better for the World Series.
  12. If I cave in and purchase a new Jays jersey with the 50-year patch, would be a Clement jersey.
  13. Was watching live when Weatherholt hit his first HR. Also saw DeLauter's when I tuned into the Cleveland/Seattle game. Pretty cool!
  14. Vegas got to him before the game.
  15. Ian Seymour didn't even record an out and gave up 5 ER. Cards were 10 to 1 odds when they had runners on base and down 7 to 1. Put down $10 when they were 4 to 1 odds and down 7-5.
  16. 101 to 1 odds on Bet365. Put down $5 on him before the season lol.
  17. Don't even see the game on Netflix lol WTF?
  18. Betting wise, would go with Boston or Baltimore since the odds are more favourable than the Jays or Yankees. Cheering and picking the Blue Jays though. Regardless, tough division and should be a dogfight all season long.
  19. Ok since its the night before Opening Night, lets make some predictions. AL and NL Awards, some team O/U W-L, division winners. Wins: Pirates Over 78.5 Athletics Over 75.5 Nationals Under 65.5 Diamondbacks Over 79.5 Guardians Over 78.5 Division Winners: AL East: unsure AL Central: Cleveland AL West: Mariners NL East: Phillies NL Central: Cubs NL West: Dodgers Awards: AL MVP: Vladdy NL MVP: Acuna Jr. AL Cy Young: Crochet NL Cy Young: Skenes AL ROY: McGonigle NL ROY: Weatherholt Some sleeper picks: AL MVP: Jazz Chisholm Jr. NL MVP: Jackson Chourio NL Cy Young: Eury Perez AL Cy Young: Gavin Williams AL ROY: Chase DeLauter NL ROY: Hunter Barco Sleepers to Make Postseason: Pirates Athletics Guardians
  20. They also have one of the best-looking jerseys in baseball. Busch Stadium is still on my TDL.
  21. I’m either going to try to find a bar that has Netflix, or just suck it up and pay for a month.
  22. Weren’t there a lot of prominent posters on here who were obsessed with the Cards front office years ago?
