I thought you meant in terms of skillset he is Reyes but ok. You're talking about projections, the expected realization from a formula, but I agreed earlier that he is a risk. A lot of that projection is from him playing hurt last year and like absolute garbage in April/May. The upside is still there for Gonzalez to have a huge second half and a good season next year.
He's not walking much less or striking out anymore than he has before, I haven't looked at any spray charts but it seems like he's being shifted more so his days of a high babip might be over. Of course he's possible he stinks, but if they can get the Rockies to eat some cash without giving up much he would be a nice risk to take. That's just my opinion but it seems I am in the minority.
