  1. Yeah I get excited for it then get bored after an hour. Hopefully the new rules will make it more interesting.
  2. Here are the betting odds on Sports Interaction: Pujols +450 Bryant +475 Fielder +475 Frazier +500 Pederson +500 Rizzo +650 Donaldson +650 Machado +900 I am going to pick Rizzo at those odds.
  3. I don't think he's serious. Admits Hamels is a better pitcher than Haren, but somehow they would equally contribute to the Jays.
  4. I totally agree, and that's why I mentioned the Rockies eating some salary. I'm not sure of Colorado's financial situation though, maybe they are trying to totally shed payroll? Or maybe they could take some on to acquire a couple younger players like Boyd or Castro or even Sanchez if the financials work out.
  5. I think he's still a very good player when healthy and I understand your line of thinking but he's an excellent buy low option IMO, the guy isn't even 30 yet. If he remains healthy I expect we see him put up some numbers in the second half. Agree to disagree I guess.
  6. rotowire says 71% rain in KC. Is that the POP? I've always assumed it is...
  7. I thought you meant in terms of skillset he is Reyes but ok. You're talking about projections, the expected realization from a formula, but I agreed earlier that he is a risk. A lot of that projection is from him playing hurt last year and like absolute garbage in April/May. The upside is still there for Gonzalez to have a huge second half and a good season next year. He's not walking much less or striking out anymore than he has before, I haven't looked at any spray charts but it seems like he's being shifted more so his days of a high babip might be over. Of course he's possible he stinks, but if they can get the Rockies to eat some cash without giving up much he would be a nice risk to take. That's just my opinion but it seems I am in the minority.
  8. lol troll comment. Guy gets injured last year and had a poor start this year and suddenly he's "not good anymore" despite being a star player for multiple seasons.
  9. I think you'd agree the Jays are in a position where they need to take some risks for the short term. Gonzalez isn't a huge risk in the sense that he wouldn't gut the farm, they'd just have to work out the financial details and maybe add in someone like Boyd. His days of being an all star or fringe MVP candidate are likely over but the guy is still only 29, the upside is still there for a huge second half.
  10. If they take some of his salary he'd be the perfect buy low IMO. Of course SP is #1 priority but adding a LH bat of Gonzalez's caliber and potential to the lineup would make the offense even more fun to watch.
  11. What would it take to land Carlos Gonzalez? The window of buying low on him might be closing. Perfect LH bat the Jays could use.
  12. You wouldn't trade Sanchez for Samardzija are you guys being serious here? I actually think Norris is in the discussion for him and not Sanchez. Take a look at what it has taken to get top rotation pitchers in the past. Samardzija is possibly the 3rd best starting pitcher who will probably get dealt this month, Sanchez has some upside but hasn't shown he can put it together yet and likely never will (or at least to the extent that some people think). 100% you deal him for a rental borderline #1 pitcher.
  13. That was me. I would 100% trade Sanchez for Samardzija and it's not even a discussion. But you seem to think Sanchez is an ace in the making, or something close to that.
  14. Are you willing to deal Sanchez for Samardzija yet?
  15. Yes. The worse he pitches, the more the Jays will give up in a trade.
  16. Hey this guy's pretty good. How does he have an ERA 0.8 above Sanchez?
  17. And the Yankees are going to sit on their ass and do nothing?
  18. Kennedy sucks, that would be a let down.
  19. It's time to get guys who are more consistent. The Jays for certain need 1 starter, 2 is probably ideal. Well 3 is ideal but that's crazy talk.
