    Agree. Although if they go the rental route, Samardzija would be ideal. It sounds like Latos was had really cheap, and Kazmir's return had mixed reactions, so it might be worthwhile.

    I think you probably have to look at giving Bautista a contract. I'd like to see him retire as a Blue Jay and I'm sure others feel the same way. Both he and the Jays have done a lot for each other so it would be fitting. EE is great and all but he's more likely to be let go or even traded next winter, just a guess.

    The deal seems good don't get me wrong. But, has anyone mentioned Tulowitzki's season so far? Much lower walk rate, higher K rate with much less power. It's only 90 games I know, but with his age injury concerns coming to turf maybe we should temper our expectations. Let's hope this works out, regardless it's one of those moves that you have to make to take a risk with the window closing so I'm all for it.

    Still working on medicals. Who did they get? John Lamb and Brandon Finnegan? Seems very underwhelming and it's clearly a buyer's market for pitchers so far.

    He was awful last year even when playing and got off to a terrible start this season, so that's a long slump but I see what you're saying. It's clear he's still a very talented hitter and capable of going off like he has the last few weeks. Would be an excellent LHB for the lineup, although not #1 priority of course

    People have been mentioning Shields but are they really going to trade him 4 months after signing him to a big contract? It looks terrible on their part, this isn't the Marlins we're talking about.
