  1. And the bench. I seriously don’t see this team making noise in the playoffs with Tapia and Zimmer around. I’d honestly prefer Zimmer over tapia and that makes me sick to my stomach
  2. They can but the waiver claim doesn’t come into play until 10 days after the DFA date. Any team can trade for him before then if they want to. It’s only after 10 days that the waiver claim priority comes into play
  3. Every team would have to trade for him unless he clears waivers.
  4. I think they would for the right arm with multiple years on control, if he were available.
  5. Looks safe to me, but I’m apparently wrong. Noice
  6. Would be nice, their pen is actually not terrible so the more they beat ‘em down tonight, the better
  7. Who sacrificed a goat to the babip gods before this game?
  8. He ran, but the 3b was playing in. Tapia just really sucks.
  9. You really think people are inquiring on Groshans for trade, whos still playing the majority of innings at SS, then 3b and they're interested, but wonder "can he play 1st?"
  10. Showcased at a less important position than the one he plays normally that is pretty important?
  11. Hope he gets to pitch in Seattle then. About as close to a home Jays crowd as you get outside of the Dome.
  12. Biggio is probably going to be one of the biggest recipients of the "no more shift* boost in numbers next year. guy is a machine hitting grounders in the hole between 1st and 2nd.
  13. It sounds weird, but I'm 100% okay with them taking all the time in the word with Ryu. Best case scenario, he gets back into the lineup later in the season and maybe helps out a bit at the end of the year and next. Worst case, he gets TJ surgery later in the season and wont be back next year at all either and off into FA without embarassing himself further. Sunk money, but at least he would be a known absence they can plan to replace accordingly.
  14. Yup, won the series, that’s all you can ask. Now let’s 3 of 4 from the Os and at least 2 of 3 from the Yanks.
  15. Yeah, was plainly obvious he was never going to see a fastball on the plate. He was just impatient
  16. No reason to be using Romano here, I don’t care if he hasn’t pitched since Tuesday. Let Thornton finish
  17. Miggy still has decent contact ability and eye. Power is pretty much gone but he can still limp noodle his way to contact and a walk
  18. Sure. But that’s not what you said. You said they’re “horrible at constructing an optimal big league roster”. Had you said something like you just did it wouldn’t have been a ridiculous take. This a forum, not twitter. You don’t need to pretend the sky is falling to get clicks.
  19. Pretty much, unless it’s a blockbuster that includes Moreno, Jansen does look like the odd man out. I mean, it’s 2 games so anointing Moreno as the CoTF is slightly premature…but if one makes the assumption he’s up for good, something has to give
  20. They won 91 games last year and on pace for 90+ this season also. I think “horrible in constructing an optimal big league roster” is a bit of ridiculous hyperbole. Yes, the bench and pen need some improvement. That’s no reason to call their lineup construction horrible. Shake your head.
  21. Moreno doesn’t look out of place at all. If I were Jansen I’d be worried about being traded and missing out on a playoff run.
  22. That’s had to have been the first ground rule double in that part of the stadium. That should never happen with that wall being so high
