  1. MLB and the PA agreed to extend the 14 man max pitchers until the end of May. Overall rosters still decrease, but they'll still be allowed 14 pitchers rather than 13
  2. Montoyo is just managing in a way he can defend in interviews next year.
  3. So, uh, Mike Trout hit a check swing homer ? WTF is this?
  4. Yeah they dont have that level of detail on their site. they definitely have the raw data though
  5. The sooner baseball moves away from awarding the W to a pitcher the better. Half of the criteria for getting a W by a pitcher they aren’t even on the field for and have nothing to do with.
  6. Eovaldi is on point tonight, that slider was disgusting.
  7. Wow Lourdes bat is so quick, just need to straighten that out
  8. Ah yes, the ground ball savior. He'll settle down now, his bad inning is behind him with no damage. Now just need to make a dent in Eovaldi
  9. Berrios lost the zone here. Take it easy, ground ball adn we're out of it
  10. Yeah, maybe a night off with Espinal at SS and Katoh at 2b wouldnt be the worst idea.
  11. s***, if we get this Eovaldi all game long it's gonna be a long night. Everything 96+ and on the black except that one pitch to Bo
  12. s***, double play but at least if was a pitch Bo should definitely have swung at. Just a bit late
  13. Attaboy Springer, couldnt have rolled it out there any better.
  14. Problem might be between the ears, he just seems like he has no plan at the plate.
  15. No, he meant once you get to the bullpen, it's feasting time.
  16. Certainly possible, but our hitters arent exactly world beaters right now with a couple exceptions. Would love to see a series where the top 5 are all on point at the same time
  17. 3 of the 4 worst called games (as far as accuracy goes) have been Jays games. The one that favored the Jays only gave .17 runs, the other 2 nearly 3 runs negative against.
  18. I dont even know what kind of argument could be made for Perez. He was at one time half decent at defense, but isnt anymore. When he was good at D, he was bad at O, now it's the reverse. Like there's no argument to be made for Sal Perez at all.
  19. But Yadier is somehow considered a slam dunk hall of famer. People are weird. Martin hit better, ran the bases better, and defended at an elite level. Has more WAR per season than Yadier. Afterthought HOF? Yadier blew chunks with the bat, didnt run well, and was otherworldly on D. Slam dunk HOF?
  20. I've bene going back and forth with a guy on twitter about the umps, he's a Houston fan. That game yesterday was the first game of the season that Houston had a run impact that was in their favour.
  21. I just wonder how much age correlates to good and bad strike calling skills. And really, it is the called strikes vs called balls that are much worse in the accuracy dept. I'd also love to get into the real data and find out where the majority of missed strike calls are vs missed balls. My suspicion is that more strikes are called that should be balls on the width of the zone, and more balls are called that should be strikes on the top/bottom, moreso the bottom.
  22. They do on the website yeah umpscorecards.com
  23. Romano is pretty much the same. It's like they couldnt possibly care less about being on the mound, they're just throwing balls at the catcher for a while, then go on their way
  24. Would be a drastically different look for sure, not to mention the difference in Kikuchi's numbers. Even #2 had been made right, the #1 situation may not have even occured.
