  1. Don't forget the 5.2 BB/9, that's kinda important too, as is the 5.7 hits per 9. Kinda weird that the guy walks as many guys at get hits off him. Obviously has filthy stuff but the command is clearly an issue.
  2. Top2 division winners get a buy into the second round. Division winner with the third best record plays The WC card team with the worst record, the other two WC teams play each other. Winners advance to play the top 2 division winners
  3. Hold the phone, might get a lucky break if Tapia is injured.
  4. Excellent take after swinging at the exact same pitch for strike 2
  5. Terrible move by the KC manager. A free swinger like Bo is exactly who this guy should face.
  6. It’s truly unfortunate for Espinal that most of his value is defense related, he’s gonna get screwed in voting for pretty much everything, and make way less money than he should.
  7. Yeah, but xba isn’t a perfect measure either. If Isabel hit the exact same ball in the last inning about 2/3rds as hard, it would likely have fell in for a hit too, doesn’t mean it not a lucky hit. Any ball off the bat at 78 mph that falls in for a hit is a pretty fortunate outcome.
  8. Oh for sure, just saying those two hits are the perfect example of how KC lucksacked their way to success in 2015.
  9. I love how Tabler is jizzing over these last 2 hits, both barely on the bat that dinked just over the SS. Those are lucky results, not an example of good hitting.
  10. I agree 100%. With catcher's you wait until there's nothing left to learn at AAA, injuries take everyone else out and he's your last option, or it's September and he's just up as a 3rd catcher to get a few PAs and maybe catch a few innings at the end of a blowout.
  11. Yeah, but the manager is going to make the decision based on the info the trainer gives him. Admitedly I do not know the proper on-field procedure for trying to diagnose a pinky metacarpal fracture, but I bet the trainer does and Jansen would have passed it or he wouldnt have been left in.
  12. Getting HBP on the pinky is just a bad break. .... .... .... Yep.
  13. Seems like a pretty knee-jerk reaction. Maddon is not the problem.
  14. If you're referring to Ben Cherington... that's even better. Last time the Jays traded with Cherington, he traded for our manager. Double win for the Jays this time around, trade the bongo player for Bednar.
  15. Screw Rosenthal, trade for David Bednar. Poor guy is wasting away in Pittsburgh, and their FO is dumb as hell. Could probably get him for a Big Mac combo meal.
  16. Chapman has quietly had a pretty good couple of weeks. Last 14 days: .297/.422/.405 Last 7 days: .353/.476/.529 Probably not going to sustain that of course but just another Jay on a heater right now.
  17. Was just the camera angle that made it look like a riser, but it was a disgusting pitch.
  18. For every “he’s having a monster year going into free agency” story, there’s like 50 that don’t. It’s just a lazy narrative that falls apart under the most basic examination
  19. That Vlad HR pretty much proves the ball is drastically different right now. That ball had no business going as far as it did.
