  1. Joey Loperfido is increasing his trade value and/or making it easier to trade Roden. It would be really nice if we could get a good pitcher with one of them as the main return.
  2. I can't format the chart the way I would like from my phone, but the numbers are correct. We essentially have slot to sign the rest of our guys. Bullard ate up all of our savings and the entire 5% overage. Snow, Watts, and Ligon could/should offer some savings to give to Spencer and maybe Piasentin. Signing Peeples is probably a pipe dream at this point.
  3. https://www.sportsnet.ca/mlb/article/canadian-rhp-micah-bucknam-excited-to-continue-development-with-blue-jays/ This article suggests that Micah Bucknam has signed for slot.
  4. Also, perhaps we can put this in the main forum during the 2 week signing period. It was always an extremely popular thread in past years. @G-Snarls@Brock Beauchamp
  5. I am by no means pretending to be an expert on this, but I'm willing to update this table as people post information. I recall that we can be 5% over without incurring draft penalties. I included that in a second column at the bottom. I also think there's a certain amount we can spend in rounds 11-20 without it counting towards our draft pool (150K). Like I said, I'm not an expert, but I'll update the table and we'll see how it goes. 6. Jake Cook having Chandler Simpson level speed is quite a statement. If the guy can hit at all, he'll be pretty valuable. That kind of speed and a rocket arm should translate to elite defense.
  7. MLB.com had Bucknam ranked about the same as Bullard, for what it's worth. Piasetin was ranked about 40 picks behind them.

  9. A heck of a pitcher, top 3 in most all-time Jays pitching stats. Condolences to his friends and family.
  10. Arozarena. Whoever picks the all-stars really hates Springer
  11. Is DJ LeMahieu the righty bench bat that some think we need? I personally think he's toast, but he fits the profile somewhat.
  12. @Brock Beauchampcheck out Wilytics. It's one of my favourites, I think you'll enjoy it. He's very balanced and goes into basic analytics, while still being able to relate it to the game on the field. It's a balance that I find just right.
  13. Game over, Jays win. 10 straight. Goodnight.
  14. It's still raining hard and they play at 1 tomorrow. Just call the game. There are no implications for the White Sox.
  15. Let's hope that they just call the game so our bullpen can get a rest.
  16. If Vladdy had ran hard out of the box, he could have been safe standing up.
  17. I never would have predicted that! Only 5 homers? Hardly deserving.
  18. Bury this piece of s*** team. I have my broom ready.
  19. I think the starting pitching is going to prevent any prolonged hot streaks, even if the hitting is much better.
  20. You haven't said anything of substance for 3 consecutive posts. You're just trying to start a pissing match and I'm not interested in that. If you have something interesting to say then say it and I'll respond.
  21. You're conflating standard practice with obligation. I never said that employers must uphold non-contract promises, but they usually do if it's a good, productive employee. That's especially true when still existing higher up managers/owners were involved in making the promise, like what is overwhelmingly likely in Devers' case.
  22. Former ESPN Boston reporter Joon Lee reports on X that there's a power struggle in Boston between Breslow and Cora, which has resulted in the firing of many long-time employees. He reports that the organization is 'unraveling from the inside'. He also infers that Breslow's treatment of Devers is a product of that power struggle. Kristian Campbell and Roman Anthony are also involved in the drama.
