Does anyone have a voice in the back of their heads every time there's an inexplicable call, saying that it's possibly due to gambling? If there are players in on it, there are officials in on it.
Not so much in baseball with reviews, but definitely in basketball and hockey where the calls are more subjective. Heck, we saw that in the NBA before gambling took off.
This year's Stanley Cup finals, for example, was some of the most one-sided officiating we've ever seen in that sport. Over 50% of the commercials are for sports betting, as well as prop bet updates from the broadcasters and banner ads all over. I'm not making accusations or anything, but it just kind of ruins the perceived integrity of the game for me.
