  1. Casas out for the year. I'd say it's a blow for Boston, but it's not like another player could be worse.
  2. Mild sprain for Ramirez. Hopefully that's just something that keeps him out for 2 more games 😁 Springer Dinger!!
  3. I got 3 responses saying that 🤣. The news hasn't been announced at the time that I made the post.
  4. I know it would be a s.hitty thing to do, but I'm surprised that we didn't option Schultz for a fresh arm.
  5. The O's lost 24-2. That's f***ing amazing. Their former backup catcher Austin Wynns went 6-7 with 6 RBI.
  6. We didn't use Little against Soto. We used Fluharty, who had a FIP over 4 in the minor leagues last year and he blew it. Every other thing you say is a lie. At least you're consistent about that. Lovelady sucked and got DFA'd. Barnes sucked and got DFA'd. Fluharty has sucked and would be in AAA if we had any depth. We're calling up mediocre over-30's and career minor leagues who aren't even good down there. Myself and many others have been absolutely right about our lack of depth causing issues. Where would we be right now with Justin Wilson and Chris Martin on the roster? Probably with 3 more wins for like 5 million dollars. They tried to sign Soto, the money was there.
  7. The post in question wasn't about yesterday's game. Lawrence and Barnes are both 7/8th relievers at best that shouldn't be on a major league roster.
  8. We'll see where he velocity is. It was down last year and he sucked. If we see consistent 95 then I'll have some hope. Schultz couldn't even manage a FIP under 4 last year in the minor league and walks a bunch, so I'm not optimistic there. One of the many, many good minor league options that were available in the offseason would look awfully good on our roster.
  9. Our lack of bullpen depth is comical at this point. Call David Robertson, please.
  10. Here's the first post of the sequence talking about middle relief (ie. Barnes), just to prove that you are a liar. I await the argument that Barnes isn't middle relief, but some other new classification. My psychopathic trait is responding to all of your lies and incorrect posts over the years, actually expecting you to be realistic for once.
  11. I said nothing about Little, you brought him up on your own. I stated, as I have several times, that we should have signed better middle relief options and got this response: "It's not 1999. You can just measure the stuff of guys like (Fluharty, Lovelady, Barnes)* and compare it to available free agents. They probably project better than the alternatives that weren't signed" *The guys that were being discussed I don't think that this is true. I think that there were better options out there and that we should have signed them. Agree or disagree with that, but I'm not going to play a game of mental gymnastics.
  12. You recently told be that they already knew he had better stuff than any of the other available relievers before he even threw a pitch. Interesting change of face.
  13. Their version of Barnes is Casey Lawrence. They actually invested in middle relief and that's why they won today. We just left a bunch of empty spots and foolishly filled them with waiver claims and minor league invites instead of believing in this team and filling obvious holes that have now cost us at least 3 games this season.
  14. The story of this game is the Jays inability to execute at the plate in my opinion. The Mariners looked awful at the plate for the most part, until we put in gas can Barnes.
  15. I hate to keep harping on it, but middle relief was an absolutely massive black hole that everyone and their dog knew about this offseason. Had the FO, invested in a capable middle reliever for a couple million dollars, we would probably be 15-5 right now with a chance to be 16-5. That's extraordinarily frustrating. I'm almost more frustrated that Dan Wilson's horrendous managing and an incredibly bad Mariners team got rewarded than I am about the Jays loss.
  16. I would have preferred to leave Yariel in for another inning.
  17. I'm not saying that at all, but Munoz did gave him a pair of very good pitches to hit. A fastball down the middle is a fastball down the middle.
  18. Horrible, horrible at-bat from Bo. He got a pair of good pitches to hit and looked like a minor leaguer. One of the most embarrassing at-bats of his career.
  19. Again, great execution from Lukes. All Bo has to do is hit a flyball. Execute, please.
  20. Cy Rodriguez. They have tried to give us the game on multiple occasions. I just wish we would take it.
  21. Rough game for Roden. He's cost us a win on 2 separate occasions by dropping that ball and not executing a sac fly.
  22. Absolutely outstanding execution from Alejandro Kirk.
