  1. Doubtful but they probably could do Bregman and Bichette
  2. Any team that bails out the Yankees and takes Spencer Jones back as a headlining piece in a big move will look like massive fools
  3. So the White Sox got him for 2/34 Safe to say his market was pretty much non existent
  4. Rogers is always strapped with liquid cash 13M is chump change to them
  5. O’s should trade for a starter. Coby Mayo has nowhere to play now
  6. Hilarious if true
  7. Sounds like 2/22 for Keller
  8. I thought this meant a signing was imminent last night until I realized it’s a Tyler Rogers reference
  9. Ha-Seong Kim forced the Braves to pay full price because he’s the only SS available other than Bo
  10. That would make sense and first time I’ve heard somebody make that argument. Whoever signs him will be betting on their hitting guys to get him to more contact its interesting that from 2020-2022 his K rate was 22% and over the past three seasons it’s ballooned to 28% It feels like buying a top prospect who is a tweak away from being a star, but it’s guaranteed money. Jo Adell type hitter with a 10% walk rate
  11. I guess you haven’t heard Murakami’s whiff rate on fastballs over 93 lol
  12. Tucker is my choice because I doubt he gets 36 AAV Thinking like 32M/year with deferrals
  13. He's top 10 in WAR over the last 5 years. Maybe he doesn’t have the name value to be considered a true superstar, but he’s definitely more than a really good player
  14. Interesting signing. Seems like a lot
  15. Jonny I agree with you. I think our bullpen is fine as is and would be totally satisfied adding one of the second tier guys. I’m sure Diaz and Garcia will both end up working out fine, and I guess if in a perfect world they weren’t paying Berrios and Santander 40M they could make sense but for now a hitter has to be priority number 1
  16. Cant have your cake and eat it too Ill prioritize the guy who plays 150 games over the guy whose value hinges on a ligament Some people wanna pay 23M/year for 60 innings. To each their own
  17. I don’t look at it the same way you do. Im not concerned about replacing people in a hierarchical sense, my concern is maximizing what is available. I don’t think spending 15M+ on a 32 year old reliever is particularly efficient, especially when you consider guys who sign for like 4M are capable of producing the same
  18. At this point you aren’t going to sign anyone who is 100% reliable or someone you’re going to hand the reigns to and say the 9th inning is yours Better to just find someone who can get both righties and lefties out and lengthen the pen and acquire in July if it’s an issue Im pretty confident in the pen arms honestly
  19. Even Thielbar or Rogers or Weaver
  20. Me too I’m cool with a decent reliever and one of Bo/Tucker Really couldn’t ask for more than that
  21. They've added two starters and will presumably land another bat. Things are going just fine
  22. Ya thought the same I don’t think 3/45 would’ve been too bad. I’m not crazy about going higher than that personally for any reliever really
  23. Jays don’t need a “closer” Just get another arm that you can realistically expect to pitch in 7/8/9th inning
