I can’t stand the person but the player is excellent. He would look good in the rotation no doubt.

I don’t think he’s getting lucky, I think it’s exactly who he is. Tons of ground balls and weak contact. Will lead to a few stinkers over the course of the season but the end of year numbers always look great. He has an ERA under 3.50 over his last ~100 starts. Steady Eddy

Agreed. Guys like that can help stabilize a rotation in the same way Gausman does. Go deep, rest the pen and give your team a chance to win.

I thought the exact same thing today looking at the next 15 games. 10-5 would change the perception so far leading into the AS break. If they scuffle it’s going to be really difficult to make up lost ground.
